Your lyrics. You play some awesome covers as I’ve recently learned. However, your lyrics and your soul pour out with your own river of life. Let your river flow. Thank you for your being. Yes.

Despite being a writer, I am guilty of not listening to the lyrics and just "hearing" a song. From my first stream of this tune, I enjoyed it for some of the unique attributes that Coltt doesn't often include, like hittin' those notes in his head tone. But as I listened to it again this morning and really paid attention to the lyrics, I felt the sense that this song is the most emotionally raw words that Coltt has spilled onto a page. He is an incredible story teller and frames stories, both fictional and not, in a way that solicits emotion and imagery in a powerful way. However, I don't think he's recorded a song that has been truer to his soul than this one and I think that can be heard in his voice as well. Thank you, Coltt, for your bravery to expose yourself in this way when you could alternatively choose to create one of your very realistic fictional characters to stand in your place.

Sometimes, admittedly, I find myself “hearing” but not truly taking in lyrics too, but not with this song. This one had me captivated beyond measure. Coltt’s song also touched me in the same way upon first listen, and I think it’s a beautiful and vulnerable take. I keep coming back to it myself, for how true and raw the feelings described in it are, and it’s one of my favorites among other brilliant works by Coltt for that reason. Thank you for watching the channel and sharing your thoughts, I really appreciate it!
