Nice video!....1 critique for next time .....set up your prompter right above the camera....(you probably already recognized it, but in case you didn't, the eyes drift back and forth as you are reading the script ;) . Hope that helps...(and I realize that you were probably already on it for next time)

The only time you don't need a center drill is when you are using a twist drill with a 135deg point self centering drill bit.

what is the difference between a cnc milling machine and saw a 5 axis machining center
@theposeidon62668 жыл бұрын
Its the number of axis and its features.. CnC's machine are basically 3 axis and costs less than 5 Axis CnCs.. Advantage/s of 5 axis CnCs are you can finish complicated products with less time, you just need to twist/turn the product just only 1 time to finish it completely and etc.. While in 3 Axis CnCs you might need 2-4 twists/turns to finish the product and might requires longer programs.. 1 twist/turn is also possible only if its less complicated product but both are great machines and it has its own advantages..

If I wanted to mill a pattern on the inside of a metal bottle, how would that be done? How do professionals machine cavities? Assume the bottle is made of titanium and too awkward to dremel or chisel.
@SelfStirringPot-com8 жыл бұрын
+Daniel Smith Titanium bottles are formed by a titanium sheet hydraulic press. So mill the pattern into the sheets of titanium in places that will form the inside of your bottle first, and then run the titanium sheet through the hydraulic press.

i got a desktop milling machine to cut small parts at home is a cnc 3020T DJ series you can find this one on ebay for around 700 in the us, now it came with some drill bits but im not sure which is the one for my project as they did not come with names so im not suure but most of this bits look like what you guys call a engraving bit so this is not the one for me as i tend to cut very easy to cut/work with aluminum or wood or even PLA/ABS plastic, i got this machine to work on my robots parts which i design in Autocad 123 Design and then later bring in to a free milling CAM program but in a part of the program its asking me what type of tool i will be using and im not sure how to answer this question , this is where im looking for help
Dude, clean your camera lens !!!!! other than that, nice vid

Think again, used machines can run for less than $10k, you just have to look in the right place.

Look up your local FabLab, they have CNCs available for public use. FabLabs are present in many major cities. Depending on their business setup it may be free to use their machines + cost of materials.

Not everbody, but some of us will go to factories where you will have to be educated how to operate a CNC machine, this video is a nice watch for beginners, before you get to the factory, atleast you will know some basics about the machine.
