“Collectors” have completely ruined the vintage guitar market. Most people who actually play guitar will never own a nice vintage piece because of the exorbitant prices, and that’s a shame.

What is that 18:23 depicting, other than a woman sitting on top of what looks like 3 tires? Specifically, what's the red 'stream' depicting down the side of the tires? Not complaining, fella can paint anything he wants, but I am wondering if that's some kind of "deflowering" symbolism going on or if 'm just seeing what isn't there.

Thanks for this video,. Well done ! 4:37 $1,950 for a Fender Bronco ! I remember those guitars sitting for months in pawn shops going for less than $100. Anyway, very cool guitar show. You guys were noticing the same stuff I would have been checking out. I'm just blown away about so much gear going for high dollar that musicians had no interest in decades ago, regarded as cheap junk. Maybe you can help. I've got a 1977 Fender Mustang left handed bass with the Antigua finish. I bought it used in 1981 and took it to local SF Bay Area guitar tech Dan Torres to have hotter pickups put in., a brass nut, new "Badass Bridge" and a stacked tone knob. After Dan put in Dimarzio bass pickup and a jazz bass pick up back by the bridge and the other upgrades, he tells me when I picked it up, that he did some research and discovered this bass was a one-of-a kind and it was a custom order for the Antigua finish for a lefty model. He says " it's the ONLY one Fender made in a lefty. I asked Dan, a little upset, that why didn't he tell me this BEFORE he carved into it to put the new pickups in ! He said " Sorry, man.......I didn't know". Since then, I routinely check the internet to see if there's another one around and after a couple decades of looking, haven't seen another one. Any idea what this might be worth ? The finish on the body shows a lot of wear, but it still plays great.
@ThatGuitarGuysChannel Жыл бұрын
Yeh you got a bum deal. However, you do have a one off guitar. I have seen Lay's fix original 1950's telie that had a pickup route filled someone put in it and you couldn't tell it was ever done. It's hard to price something that has no equal. It's a one off! Price is the eyes of the beholder.
