In boxing there's a similar technique called the 'drop step', used by Jack Dempsey and Ricardo Lopez (the real-life Ricardo Martinez for you Ippo fans) where the user drops into a crouch/lunge, leaning forward on to the lead leg. You then quickly lift the lead leg while pushing off of the back foot. The lunge builds momentum before bursting forward, covering a large amount of distance. As for your debate, my two cents is that Musashi is significantly faster than Zenitsu up to the Redlight District arc where Musashi is still faster, but they’re much more comparable, then after the Hashira training, I’d say Zenitsu is faster with Godspeed and Honoikazuchi no Kami

I think you're downplaying musashi from the beginning. What i mean is you said that we don't know the exact time it took for musashi to release that attack and it is said it took less than 0.000 second, but you just straight up think it's 0.0009 or 0.0001 and you didn't think further into it, not thinking there could be more zero, you basically didn't even try to calculate and just assume there can't be 0.00001 and you just straight up think it's 0.0001 at max. Even tho we didn't get any clear time it took. Which means the real thing is, low ball : 0.0001, mid ball : 0.00001, high ball : 0.000001. and i didn't say they're this fast randomly. I just think you're downplaying from the beginning since you didn't even try to calculate and just think 0.0001 is the max.

If it were actually that fast, Yujiro wouldn’t have been able to react, Motobe wouldn’t have been able to stop it like he did, Baki wouldn’t have been able to blitz him mid-dash during their final fight, etc
