This is Shane from Pinnacle (Savage Worlds). I'm a Free League fan too and LOVE these videos. FL's games are excellent and Ellinor is engaging and crazy fun to watch play against herself :)

Shane! I'm a huge fan of your work. Deadlands Classic and Savage Worlds were the games that showed me that I could play in any world and tell any story I liked. You are a legend of the hobby.

Savage Worlds & Pinnacle are top-notch. All that you all do over there is appreciated.

I brought our GURPS group over to Savage Worlds about 10 years ago, and we still play SW every week. Now I’m gobbling up everything Free League makes, though I haven’t tried them out with our group yet. Long story short, it’s just a tad awkward to run into @PEGShane here 😬

Last week a chatacter died in combat to that giant. Obviously, as a caring GM, I've sent them this link. Love the videos.

These videos are fun and can't wait for more, but can we take a moment and appreciate the discreet PSA advocating 4 things necessary for the survival of mankind?

The acting and comedy in this video was much more than I was expecting… and I learned some Dragonbane rules along the way. Two thumbs up!

Exactly! My physics class in college used the metruc system which was clean and efficient. It was quite a surprise (an unpleasant one) going into my aerospace engineering classes which used the English system ... so cumbersome and so many places to make conversion mistakes. Who in their right mind thinks a system using slugs* as a unit of measure (among many other things) is a great idea? We used to to joke that we might as well use furlongs per fortnite for velocity. 😉 *A slug is defined as a mass that is accelerated by 1 ft/s2 when a net force of one pound (lbf) is exerted on it. One slug is a mass equal to 32.17405 lb (14.59390 kg) based on standard gravity, the international foot, and the avoirdupois pound.

hardest thing in dragonbane is coming to terms with only having 1 action. I've had so many moments of my players feeling trapped cause they don't feel like they can attack without leaving themselves open to die since the enemy just hits too hard. but it does also force player parties to start thinking strategically too.

Very entertaining! I've been running Dragon Bane since last Gencon, and it's my primary system now. My only critique would be to have shown that the Dragon's attempt to Evade the arrow burns up one of its Actions.

Doesn’t hiding use up action that was already used for ranged attack?
@AugustHahnАй бұрын
Sort of? If she were actually hiding to take advantage of a trait or ability, then yes. But to move where a boulder would break line of sight with the dragon? Nope; that's just a move.

Savage DM Ellinor: Your friends can help you in this scenario: they can either persuade you to continue with a Rally Call despite the fact that you're missing both arms and legs and are bleeding out. You'll still be making death rolls but you can keep fighting instead of just lying there like a dying loser. Your friends can also try to heal you but where's the fun in that? 🤣
