It is midnight, cold and snowy. Working this way is one of the challenges of the service industry, I'm talking about not only this profession, but also similar jobs. While many people are resting at home, some needs are met quietly, and sometimes people don't think about it and get bored. However, we love our job and our profession, we are open to development and innovation, we are open to being "eager, curious" and we continue to develop 👍👍👍💪💪💪

A tool that may help you troubleshoot in a situation like that, where it was difficult to see which unit was trying to run, would be a Milwaukee m12 thermal imager. As a plumber it has helped me many of times see the naturally invisible. Thank you much for sharing your informing knowledge.

Long time ago we had a control company leave some panels off and a snowstorm hit. That was a construction job and much earlier in the day when that call came in. We stripped the components out of the control cabinets and brought them inside. I thought that kinda sucked. Your job looked a lit more frustrating. Good job getting them running again.

I am from Michigan, i was on a roof one time it was about -10 and windy as hell. This was a quick inducer motor change out ( 10 min normally). It took me about 35 mins I was frozen to the bone. I waked to the ladder and said how in the fk am I gonna get down LMAOOOOO. Then this guy walks by and I ask him to stand on the ladder , I was able to get on it undid the tie off and made it down. I bought a heated hoodie and hat because of that. Stay safe.

Good video. I would like to point out on these carriers code 8 could also be a bad gas valve. I've had bad gas valve cause internal control faults. If you mess up the 3 wires for the 2 stage gas valve it will also trigger that code. Good thing you figured it out
@HVACRSurvival4 жыл бұрын
Makes sense, that would likely be a short if the valve was wired wrong? You can see I had snow in the harness at the board, once I got it melted and dried out it started working.
@sivalley4 жыл бұрын
Had that code the other day, they had jumpered W1/W2 to high fire all the time, the W2 coil in the valve had partially shorted and caused weird voltage to appear on the W1 input on the board and signalled 8. I disconnected the W2 at the valve and low fire came on no problem. Since W2 is connected DIRECTLY to the valve it can cause some interesting false malfunctions.

Why would you want to take the outside air and heat it up When outside air is freezing cold why wouldn't you want to recirculate the air inside the building that's already been warmed but I guess that would build-up carbon monoxide So I guess drawing the outside air keeps the carbon monoxide Levels at a safe level
