I really enjoyed this. You were very honest about your mistakes, a pleasant change from some video makers who always blame the AI for their own mistakes. One thing to think about for the future, keep you AT rifles, Panzersheck, PIAT or Bazooka teams hidden until enemy armour are within killing range. You don't want them getting into fire fights with infantry unless they are seriously threatened.

"Warts 'n' all" that's a really good tip and something I'm definitely going to do, because having that puma promenading around in front of the trench for 5 minutes shredding my poor guards was excruciating! I'm glad you enjoyed the unrefined nature of it. At some points I was questioning whether to restart but I thought I'd at least play it out and at least it's dramatic then. Hopefully it'll give some more weight to when I actually play better too! Side note, the PTRS gunner actually got killed by some sort of explosive but I neglected to capture it by accident. I think it might have been a panzerschreck!

It's been so long since I played this. All I can remember is winning it, but I can't remember how. I only keep the results of the full campaigns, and battles, but not the Training Campaigns. Anyway, I look forward to your next video.

I was glad to find your video of this training tutorial as I have been working through it myself. I was looking to see if anyone had a good way of dealing with the left side Puma; I can see that you struggled with it as well. I was hoping; though I knew it was unrealistic that my mortar fire would strike a lucky hit. Someone in this thread suggested something that I considered but didn't know if it could be pulled off in doing a close assault on the Puma. If I can figure out how to pop smoke I will give this a try. Tutorials are meant for learning; I have no problem in going through this multiple times looking for a better method. Another very good idea was to hold off firing the PTRD. I was actually considering putting tighter firing arcs on all of the units to give less chance of retreat for the Germans. In my 2nd try I lost 2 of my tanks on the road to the Shreks. Those are the second most dangerous unit I've found in this scenario. Thanks for covering this scenario!

13:50--It's always risky to move tanks out into the open. With hindsight a covered approach around the other side of Hill 124 might've been better. Would've taken a bit longer but probably safer. Great video, thanks for uploading.

The trenches look incredibly shallow, it doesn't look like they provide any cover for artillery and small arms fire at all

One thing you can do is pop smoke and assault the Puma. I've taken out Stugs this way with a few infantry squads in forest - the infantry will toss grenades when they get close, and sometimes the crew will get shocked and bail out, and you can gun the crew down.

That german armored car is not a Puma. It is a sdkfz 231 recon car.

the German Puma sported a 50mm gun. Those are just armored cars ...

How does a soldier go missing in this game?
@TheDiscerningGamer6 жыл бұрын
Fuzzy Dunlop When a unit is under particularly heavy fire I think they can break or run away. I think it also accounts for wounded or dead men who aren't found after the battle.

It means they surrendered and were taken prisoner.
