I just need to add a correction here. Ace units do not have any actual stat bonuses over regular units. They are just a reskinned version of a standard unit, generally replacing a veteran card of that unit available to a given division. This was done so that players who bought the version of the game that gives additional aces would not have an advantage. If you own a version of the game without aces, the divisions will simply have a card of that unit with the default skin at the same veterancy level as the ace the card is replacing. Any special bonuses attributed to aces are simply because they come with veterancy. Aces are purely cosmetic.

Daniel Weaver Good knowledge man! That's a sensible move on the part of Eugen then. I guess it also further underlines the importance of veterancy.

These have been really good and helped me out as a new player. I would like to see a detailed Deck building video and explanations behind your choices. This is where I feel I struggle the most due to the fact that I am usually 15 to 20 mins in before I realize I should of put more Armor or infantry into my Deck.

Zcm And funny you should say that man, that's literally the next and final part of the series which will hopefully be out tomorrow. I'm hoping there will be a decent discount on the game in the steam sale and people will use this series to take a look at the game and pick it up, then have a smoother introduction into the multiplayer. If you've got any buddies that are on the fence or new I'd appreciate it if you could share it with them,

I'm quite confused by the whole accuracy thing. I looked up your link you posted in the bio and I kinda understand the math behind it. But I don't understand why CTH numbers are so low, when I have the feeling, everytime you get into max range, its a one shoot :D do I miss something here?

FetzL I honestly have no idea how the math behind it works. I'm rubbish at maths sadly. I understand what effects it and I think combined with the the AP mechanics it generally means that unless we have a very well trained crewed or a gun that will easily penetrate what we're shooting at, then we should hold fire until the target is a bit closer before revealing our anti tank guns or our own tanks.

well... actually vehicles do have a hiden HP bar, in fact the firefly on the vid got killed by depletion of the hp bar as no crit was shown when it got destroyed.

HallBr3gg I was aware of this, but I thought it might be overloading new players a bit and perhaps encourage them to persue really inefficient tactics for taking on tanks. As far as I know only HE damage effects the hidden health bar, but AP doesn't. I believe the firefly died from just a straight 'kill' result on the penetration which doesn't show a critical.

AP shots that penetrate armor do HP damage to armored vehicles, the amount depends on the caliber of the gun some (non-lethal) crits also do bonus HP damage. See steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1276910882 for the details. Note that the likelihood of lethal crits was reduced a lot in the Christmas update and the reddit table you linked is no longer accurate.
