I'm glad to have found a pvp video with commemtary. All of the ones I've seen have no commentary or text commentary, which is distracting. I liked being able to watch as you talked through each battle so that I could focus on what you were doing and why. Very helpful.

Took your dual ancil fit out (with a few minor changes) and got dropped by 2 moas, a sviple an exequror and a N.Omen, killed the Sviple, tanked the rest and gtfo. +1 awesomeness

Very good cap management. You made few mistakes and sometimes forgot to engage hardeners when injecting booster..but that is normal when under so much pressure from all the ships around. Even with links and implants that was impressive with curse on the field. Respect. And also very good commentary.

Did you think of possibility of fitting 1 Amarr jammer so you have upper card when you fight your nemesii (Curse/Ashimmu)? Nice videos, really inspiring (wish I had ISK to afford fighting in Rook like that), although a Caldari me is little sad to see no jammin'

Yea absolutely. My initial fits had a single multi ecm instead of the Shield boost amplifier. However I ended up going for more tank since it is quite fragile and I was expecting to be under pressure from multiple ships Looking back at it, against these pesky frigs pointing me the single jam would have been better

Great video,thanks for posting. Have you considered carrying a mobile depot and warp core stabs? Would have been helpful when just held down by one frig who you couldn't hit.

Absolutely. But I ended up not doing it to conserve cargo space and bring as much cap boosters as possible. Its always a tradeoff there but since the Rook has a relatively small cargo bay, not one I was willing to make

Since i had a huge success with a station game setup on my brutix with a multispectral jam instead of an mwd, I just wondder if your fit would be even better if you fitted a ecm burst and mybe an multispectral ecm instead of only tank. I think if the ecm burst also jammes drones alongside of ships in warpscram range, that will get a huge chunk of dps off of you. my humble brutix for example was able to fight a dual neut fleet hurricane just because the few jamm cyles that hit, would allow me to rep up, cap up and also warp off to refill boosters. Especially with the extrem bonuses to ecm on that rook, i think it would be totally awsome to see something like this.

You should have used the rooks ECM bonuses. That would break the garmurs lock earlier. Never the less a pretty intense video.

Do you think it'd be effective to put at least some kind of ECM on there? They could break a Garmur lock. For the record, I have no idea what I'm talking about, but I'm looking to fly the Rook. Didn't even really think for a full combat load out, could be tricky

For that first fight, instead of going after the Kestrel once the Thrahser was dead, you should have primaried the Catalyst. That blaster boat was sitting right on you applying probably 300+ dps constantly. Maybe it would have been better to go after that than the Thrasher even.

This was right after the Recon changes a few years back. I wanted to make a point of how strong the Rook would be combat wise and have some fun with a ship people dont expect to be shooting A jammer would have worked but it was more fun this way

dont drain cap with your first asb, do it with the last one so the first one has more time to reload. by the way u completly did miss the destroyer who is chunking 300+ dps on you. good job :). on the second fight if u would slide in u would come out. instead u let yourself tackle :). bytheway the rook doesnt have any bonuses to light missiles :)

Why are light missiles so popular to be fit on cruisers? Why not HAMS or HMs?

Better damage application. Light missiles have a faster explosion velocity. It's more difficult for ships to mitigate that damage. Most frigates (most of what he was fighting in this video) Have very little issues keeping up their speed and mitigating the majority of damage from medium missiles. Especially when he's working with a fit that doesn't involve a webifier.

that fight in kourm is the reason you don't use a fucking garmur... shit dps, nice and safe distance and after the whole team dies, garmur can simply piss off and live to fight yet another day... shit like that won't roll in my fleets. Get a real dps ship or don't join.
