My name is Hammo and I stream on Twitch! I play a variety of "map games" and strategy games, but my favourite game by far is Hearts of Iron IV.
I love this game and it's complexity, strategy and historical focus, but these are also reasons people can find it hard to get into Hoi4. The endless spreadsheets, statistics, buffs and debuffs can be overwhelming without someone to show you the ropes, which is where this channel comes in!
I will be creating and posting beginners guides, tutorials, walkthroughs, tips and tricks videos, just about everything I can to get you playing and enjoying Hearts of Iron IV as much as I do!

Good changes I like the super heavy change just because I love the fact of having more availability to wacky tank only ideas.

You have to look at the huge reduction in range that they put on all planes... now it will be almost mandatory to put 2 modules (+ range) in each light plane and one in the medium planes to have a decent range that allows them to be used offensively.. ..You should also talk about that little -big detail.

I actually didn't notice that! Tbh I would start using medium airframes more if that change comes through to the live build, recently did a game where I made heavy fighters and strats and was super fun to do so

I'm no expert on the code part either but as I understand it. The first section is how agility affects your received damage from an enemy. For example if you have 40 AGL and your opponent has 30, you will get a "Difference Factor" of 1.33, which is then applied as a 0.33x multiplier to the "Agility Mitigation" stat. If you had 70 instead of 40, it would be a 1.3x multiplier to your final "Agility Mitigation" stat. There is also a similarly calculated speed modifier for if the attacker has higher speed. At the end the former Agility Modifier is subtracted from the speed modifier. I assume this is to simulate the idea that being faster than an opposing fighter doesn't really help you if you can't get a lock on them. Passenger jets in the modern day can fly more than twice as fast as a Spitfire, but they would not have the aerial agility to ever shoot one down if you put guns on them. Having better agility and speed does apply a multiplier to Air Attack on defense and offense respectively on top of the mitigation of speed by agility described above. There's a few things in there I can't identify, and I can't really say how this differs from how the game currently works, but that's how I read that.

@@hammotimee Not fully correct. Agility deficit is a debuff while speed advantage is a bonus - Agility here works like piercing for tanks. You only need to have atleast the same as ur enemy and won’t get any debuffs. - Speed on the opposite acts as a Bonus. So every additional speed will increase ur attack. Keep in mind that both values are capped by constants (which aren’t shown here). (I’m all writing this from the “attacker’s” perspective)

Interestingly enough for the navy speed is one of the, if not the best stat there is since you get can't spotted or hit if your speed is way WAY faster than your enemy, not really useful for SP but very important in MP

The Air Agility - Air weight is on the bba already, my strategic bombers have 1 agility with all the meduim bombers and armor on them and i have to add the 4 engines lvl 3 to make the plane take off , while my naval bombers have 32 agility with only fuel tank design and 2 engines lvl 1 ..

I believe from this they're adjusting it, or the main thing is the speed really being capped by the airframe, my bad But yeah my strat bombers are LUCKY to have 1 agility hahah
