Episode 168. T-90M. Proryv

The headliner of this episode of Combat Approved is the T-90M tank, known to the broad public under the codename Proryv-3. At the moment of filming, it exists in a single copy. But already in the nearest future, the T-90M will become the most mass-produced tank of all the modern ones in our Armed Forces, ceding only to the Armata. The new vehicle was named Proryv (breakthrough) for a reason: a new level of protection, brand new electronics, new tower. The T-90M (M stands for modernized) radically differs from its predecessor - the regular T-90. That said, all the tests of the Proryv have been classified for a long time. And now Combat Approved has an exclusive opportunity to test the new armored vehicle in action. To do that, the journalists will head to Kubinka, to the range of the Armored Vehicles Research and Development Center, where the T-90 will firstly undergo running tests, and then the shooting practice. Right in front of the eyes of our filmmaker, Aleksey Egorov, Proryv will fire not only the conventional armor piercing projectiles, but also the guided missiles, while its target will be a real T-64 tank! For the sake of such a show, the film crew of Combat Approved will use a high-speed camera to capture all the details of the new tank’s sniper precision. Long story short, there’ll be a lot of shooting, fire, explosions and mud in this episode! And as know, the tanks don’t fear mud! The Proryv even less.

I don’t know what it is, but I’ve been caught by a Russian bug or something. I’ve been watching everything Russian. If it’s Russian, I watch it. Don’t know why. It started with the Ak-47, then everything military, then outdoors like hunting and camping, then Putin, then Moscow, then the people, then Christmas in Russia. Hell, I’m trying to learn the Russian language, I don’t know what’s happening to me. I’ve got a damn app on my phone trying to learn the Russian language and I have no reason to use but to understand these KZbin videos. I don’t mean to rant but it just hit me, I’ve submersed my self with Russia and don’t know why. I get on the nerves of my coworkers with it. I watched a video of a damn Russian flea market this morning, what’s wrong with me? By the way, love the T-90, I think it’s awesome. And Russian military jets are freaking awesome. Love all the Su-30s, Su-34, 35,37 all of them. Even the Mig-31, loved the Combat Approved video on the Mig-31. My bosses son was a crew chief on the F-22 so I’m probably gonna get fired. I don’t know what it is, mid life crisis or something but this is the weirdest mid life crisis I’ve ever heard of.

I've noticed that when name/label the parts on the vehicle, such as at around 12:00, the audio is out of sync with what is being displayed, like they will be talking about one part such as the smoke launchers but on the screen they will be highlighting the reactive armour.
