That teacher might have been clueless, but not all. We’re too busy picking up the fact “their” arms are not at shoulder “height.”

Perhaps it’s because they’re not professional soldiers. They’re kids who get an hour or possibly two per week of syllabus training, supervised by teachers with cadet commissions who, on top of normal teaching and other school duties, volunteer extra time for the CCF. Don’t be so hard on them!
