Combine comparison John Deere S780 vs. 9230 Case IH Head to Head harvesters in 2020

Comparing combines in Canadian hard red spring wheat. Trying a John Deere s780 and our case IH 9230 combine harvester. Harvest 2020 season in September. Using the new JD HD40R header which really impressed us and flexed more then our Macdon FD75 Flex draper headers.
Grain farming in manitoba, canada. Canadian farm vlog. Harvesting Brandon wheat variety and operating heavy equipment. We were running our 876 Brent grain cart, pulled by our 460 versatile 4wd tractor with PTO.
Technically the deere was a combine class smaller then our international and yet when we threw pans with the bushel plus device, they were throwing less then us at the same speed. We had to slow down to do the same job. The deere had automated adjustments to the cleaning system from cameras and sensors to help it. Will be nice to see the automation in other newer machines also.
We were dropping the straw and crop residue rather then chopping and spreading it to be baled with our 2270XD square baler.

Our john deere combines thay aim to please deere has changed in the last 15 years we have corrected some stuff with our combines but your right were back and back to stay now enjoy our next crown achievement our class 10 combines our X9-1100 and X9-1000

I remember when the 40 foot header came out and i couldnt fathom how wide it was. Now there are 50 footers on the market, and prototypes of 60 footers. Makes a man wonder how big things can be and what the limitations are

Interesting many years ago JD 9770 was struggling keep up to CaseIH 8120, I reckon CaseIH combines are easier operate n clean down. JD has best GPS guidance system. We have red top 8010 n next door has JD S680 so we will see over years which one be better to own.

i dont know if there is such thing as "the best" most modern brands are reliable and perform well. a lot of farmers decide on brand based on the local service that the brands dealer provides among many other things.

Should be compared to an 8250 not a 9250. 780 will destroy an 8250, ih has massive power loss through inefficient drive systems.
