The most important part of Powerglide - indeed ANY Powerglide - is that you can put his arms akimbo, thus making him as Powerglide-y as Powerglide can Powerglide. Yes, an elbow swivel would make that easier, but it CAN be done, and that's all we ask.

I find he makes a great replacement Wheelie, catching a piggy-back ride on top of MP Grimlock in Dino mode.

I would argue that Powerglide isn't the epitome of unnecessary, especially since I can get Superion to pose with his arms out so that every single armament is visible. Plus, when you compare Powerglide to Blackjack, it makes Powerglide look so much better.

I personally prefer the cyberverse Power Glide that came out a few years ago for Dark Of The Moon. It had a much better jet mode and, for me atleast, a much better robot mode. And it managed to pull off all that while being a figure of the same size class, so this figure really had no excuse.

I love how the package art depicts powerglides gun mode being used by Skydive who has some of the weakest elbow joints I have ever had on a figure

I think we definitely needed this figure. It was about time that we got a proper Classics Powerglide figure that fit in with other CHUG figures scale-wise as a Minibot.

Btw, his engines extend about halfway down their sliders in jet mode.

does he have any fan transformation for the gun mode? the non painted central turbine makes it look a bit silly as a gun that shoots with the two jets over.. maybe if the paintjob integrated better into the arialbots or something... but it looks like a nice extra anyway.

I absolutely love this version of Power Glide!!! It's definitely an updated and modernized G1 figure that despite limited arm articulation nails the character perfectly. Good review and away we go!!!

Gonna be that guy this time.. A-10 Warthogs are tank killers and close ground support :) I love you can plug him into the top of Superion's supergun, but finding a limb with strong enough knees to hold that is only one of the 4 I own haha.

Erik Hawkke It's also one tough plane, as it can sustain massive damage and still make it back to base. There's a reason why the plane has outlived it's maker. It's basically a timeless design because it works so well. Oh, and it's also too ugly to die.

I still prefer Cyberverse Commander Powerglide (from the movie line). He's a little less G1 mirroring, but he's still pretty close, and he's definitely fun. He's not a target master, though.

Pglide is a great robot and a bad plane and gun thing. Compared to the movie verse legend he isn't remotely as good. But robot mode saves him. That robot mode is so good.

As much I like GCW Powerglide, I like his Decepticon retool version: Viper. Also, time to bring Air Raid to complete Superion. You can't hide the fact that you have GCW Air Raid.

A deluxe is about 6 and a voyager is say sever to seven and a half.....those are of course only rough measurments and depending on the figures they can vary slightly. but yeah, about three inches, maybe a bit more, certainly not smaller at all. To be safe, let's say 3-3.5,lol. Hope that helped.

I love this figure and am perfectly happy with it being the best modern update to the G1 Powerglide. I totally appreciate your issues with the lack of the bicep swivel in particular. Not sure how they let that get through. Can't image it would have added that much more to the cost.

Big fan of this guy. I've loved mine since I got him and honestly? I feel like this one is the definitive version, so much so that the lack of the arm swivel is pretty much unnoticed by me. Love the robot and the vehicle mode....as for that gun mode...it is a nice attempt to incorporate him but I personally will never in a billion years display him thusly. Only legend I think is at all justified to combine is Groove since he is STILL part of defensor yet also scaled correctly (blackjack sucks, except as the takara renamuck..or..Runabout...whichever).
