your mic settings are fine, can hear perfectly thanks for this and other logseq materials, you helped me move over to logseq from other text and md based tools and quite frankly, it has changed for the better all my notes and really has me on the road to a second brain cheers !

It's really great that you're still doing Logseq videos Dario; I was beginning to wonder if some of the early momentum around Logseq had started to dry up! I use a very similar workflow for managing meetings on multiple projects. The things I need to capture and organise are: my meeting preparation, notes on agenda items, plus any #action/do #action/report tags for follow-up. I recently needed to collect all of my activities across a bunch of projects in different namespace hierarchies `p/project1/meetings`, `p/project2/meetings`, etc. Initially I procrastinated because it was such a brain ache to even think about. My early attempts using queries just surfaced a wall of text, and I couldn't find a way to neatly summarise the information in a tabular view. Then I had a brainwave: using `logseq-plugin-kanban-board` to surface #action tags by task status (TODO DOING DONE). Here's what I did.... Step 1: create a block with `{{renderer :kboard-marker-query, Kanban, TODO, DOING, DONE, cover, 260px}}`, Step 2: use the filter icon rendered by the plugin to define #tags or properties:: of interest. Step 3: hit escape and have a little dance. I combine this this `logseq-plugin-doc` to print my Kanban to HTML/PDF for distribution to non Logseq folks. BTW, you can create an impromptu index in right side bar with {{namespace MyCompany}}.

That sounds like a great solution, super glad it worked for you. Unfortunately it isn't very beginner friendly, and a lot of people would be put off with all the steps. But power-users can do so much with the tool.

As a practical matter, Voice is clear, and I didn’t struggle to hear or understand you. Yes there are some minor issues present, but that is the reality of almost any field recording. If you were to run the audio through adobe audition or Logic Pro, you can adjust the sound easily with filters and leveling. The gating comment above sounds about right, repositioning the mic may make a difference. Thank you for your content. It is excellent.

You need to tweak the noise gate on your microphone. You can notice the volume jumping up and down when you start to speak - that's the noise gate activating and deactivating. Consider turning it off if you're in a quiet room, or tweaking it to the very minimum that allows you to eliminate any background, but pick up your voice. I've had a similar problem and I had to spend some time making it right, but it's worth it. I would also increase gain by 3-5 db Sometimes, moving the microphone a bit closer is all you need to do...
@CombiningMindsPKM
@CombiningMindsPKM Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the tip! I think that what you're describing is probably a result of Descript's AI-audio cleaning function (Studio Sound). Unfortunately my room is very echo-ey, so I have started to use that to minimise the impact. I actually don't know if a better microphone will minimise that though🤔 Probably need some soundproofing or padding, but there's no space for it...

Just place some plants in the room or maybe put a thick blanket behind your computer might help with reducing echo@@CombiningMindsPKM

@@CombiningMindsPKM to reduce the echoes in the room, you would need some panels no deeper than 50mm. You can even have them wrapped in printed fabric if you want to cover them in art, or have them wrapped in a fabric that is similar to the wall colour. I'm based in Cape Town. I know of some people in Joburg who can assist.

Slight audio sync delay on video but great content. How do you get those blue indent lines? Oh! you answered by question in your video!

Hi! First of all thank you very much for your videos. They are truly a wealth of information for new Logseq users like me. Quick question: In any given day, I have a lot of meetings that I need to capture key insights for. Would adding a property like 'client' be better than just adding the name of the client in the 'relates-to' property? What would be the advantages of adding an extra property?
@CombiningMindsPKM
@CombiningMindsPKM 9 ай бұрын
It's really a matter of personal preference. Adding another property might give you more resolution for filtering your queries.

I use the combo of logseq and syncthing on two PCs and 3 android phones to quick input of different textual data and images on an industrial production Still need to adjust several templates and create custom templates of export. The base funcionality works fine, though

@@CombiningMindsPKM well, this setup works but it is hard to teach operators to use the software: No folders, templates, fill the data on a phone without paper notebook and pen etc.

On a phone side there are only few apps: 1) f-droid 2) Unexpected keyboard 3) Syncthing 4) Meshenger 5) Logseq on a PC in addition to Logseq I installed an Obsidian - for publishing the Logseq data and to write the long texts

What about Meeting note as a TODO block? Pros and Cons?
@CombiningMindsPKM
@CombiningMindsPKM 4 ай бұрын
Hmmm, wouldn't be my preferred approach. I'd want to be able to delineate between TODOs and meetings, they're 2 separate things. And meetings ultimately create a whole bunch of TODOs
@davdelven
@davdelven 4 ай бұрын
@@CombiningMindsPKM Ontologically we would have an interesting discussion, here. Both (even including the project concept) are action-oriented items, with a different level of granularity. But I buy the "Meeting" also belonging to the "event" branch.
@CombiningMindsPKM
@CombiningMindsPKM 4 ай бұрын
@@davdelven Completely agree, but Logseq doesn't handle that sort of resolution well. That's why I like Tana (and the semantic functions)

Meeting note as a PAGE with its Page properties vs Meeting note as BLOCK with is BLOCK properties. Pros and Cons, beyond Blocks won't appear as Graph Items.
@CombiningMindsPKM
@CombiningMindsPKM 4 ай бұрын
Feels like an unnecessary creation of pages. I like the "Linked References" to appear chronologically, and although you could surface your meeting notes with queries and sort by dates, it's often easier to use the linked references.
@davdelven
@davdelven 4 ай бұрын
@@CombiningMindsPKM Blocks, too. I wonder which final role the "pages" will have once the future DB version is released.
