How can I change the property value without re-creating the prop?!

It should be as simple as highlighting the text and editing it?

For 9th point I've learnt this the hard way. Trying to manage lists in logseq was annoying due to not having easy access to them and not having an easy way to make them beautiful and structured - using TickTick/Notion for that now. On the contrary, doing less or more extensive research in TickTick or Notion was an annoyance as well due to not having an easy way to structurize information causing me anxiety and having limited space, both in terms of visual styling of the apps and the storage, wasn't helping to free my head. In logseq I have a staging enviroment where I can just let the information flow and not worry at all about formatting as it's all well visible and easily restructurizable.

know this was posted a year ago, but we think so much alike! I spent years trying to force systems and principles on other applications due to my dynamic work load ensuring nothing was missed but the apps just weren’t flexible enough to make it work and I could never feel at ease with my day to day. Your outline of your structure in Tana is going to be a complete game changer I greatly appreciate the time you took to make this. Thank you!!!

Logseq! The King of the Note-taking Planet!👍🕺 You can’t do these things (especially KZbin timestamps!) in Ooopsidian. Meanwhile, I am not writing /youtube{} then youtube link. I am just paste youtube link at new version of Logseq. And timestamps its very easy! You don’t need to install plugin.

It's a pity that the actual content in your videos always gets lost in so much blah-blah-blah. I thought this video was supposed to show the possibilities Logseq offers with PDFs, instead you go on about the content of the PDFs and show other basics of Logseq...

How do you ensure that readwise does not sync the articles back again in Logseq after migrating from omnivore to reader?
@CombiningMindsPKMАй бұрын
Readwise only syncs the highlights made in Reader, so as long as I don't make any new highlights in old articles I'm safe. I do wish there was a way to manage exports with finer resolution though 😕

Hi Dario! I know this video is a bit old, but I really enjoyed watching it again. I do have a question, though: why didn’t you save the final version from Grammarly in LogSeq? Thank you for this, is very helpful.
@CombiningMindsPKMАй бұрын
The honest answer is because I'm lazy 😋

That’s rough, I was actually considering migrating away from readwise to omnivore to save money but I guess that’s not gonna happen 😅

I hope that the Logseq team watches this video. Bas has a lot of good technical points! If the DB version development goes the direction he outlined, I would be happy to use Logseq for all my PKM needs. But right now I'm just trying it out and feel quite uncertain about its current state (poor communication from the team and UX issues) and future.

I would like to use Readwise but it's just too expensive for me at the moment, even with the student discount... as we have to pay yearly.

There’s another app called web highlighter and another one called Glasp that’s both free because I just left Readwise because I don’t use it a lot but like doing the highlights still.

I wrote an LLM prompt to create a deck of flashcards for studying. This let's me skip that whole step of editing the text! Here's my prompt: Please help us create Logseq flashcards using the following formatting: ``` - #duolingo #[[Spanish Vocab]] - Qué significa "camisa"? #card - Answer: "shirt 👕" ``` Try to include a relevant emoji, or just add one for fun if there isn't a good emoji that fits. Also, include a simple sentence in the answer that includes an example use of the word. The new words we want to create flashcards for are:

notion isnt difficult really but you just need to define a role for it and not try to make it work for everything. if you try to make it work for everything like task management and a second brain and a life os thats when it gets confusing and messy

How do you go about managing the changes you made in Grammarly not being in Logseq? What is your workflow for this? Or does it not matter that your Logseq text is different to what was published. Thank you.

It's not too much of a problem for me. It's just laziness from my side really :)

sir, you are very good at demonstrating this stuff . and Logseq is exciting to find and begin to use . I hope that some ClojureScript programmers might be similarly excited about it, and perhaps help its development, because it is open source software after all . maybe some don’t know, but Logseq is developed using ClojureScript, which is a very satisfying programming language

That derailed quite a bit, I think. But this is what might happen when someone is basically starting note taking and first decides on the tool and is still stuck to concepts that don't fit the expressed purpose of the notetaking (especially thinking of "organizing notes by using folders"). I think the first thing we really need to explore even more is what someone wants to achieve with their notetaking efforts and talk about some basic concepts and styles of notetaking. People have different needs in notetaking - maybe even different aspects of their live that suggest different notetaking apps. I am using LogSeq for my work related notes (reasons: open source, outliner structure, journaling centered, "i don't give a ***"-approach to the actual file locations, ...), Confluence for collaborating and sharing notes work notes (not my decision), Obsidian for my personal notes as some hobbies and knowledge building lean more into the prose style of notes instead of outlining. But I am curious about Tana and might move a section of my personal notes over there once I get my invite.
@BrianWisti2 ай бұрын
If Tana doesn't click for someone, maybe because the outline structure doesn't call out to them, maybe try Capacities? The easiest summary for someone familiar with the domain is a simplified Tana that looks like Notion. The core unit is a page, but it lets you define your own object types and convert between them. After some time getting carried away with defining object types, I *mainly* use it as a bookmarking tool, because it saves web links as a built-in type that you can then arrange to your liking. Another nice hook is that the journal page includes a gallery of objects created on that day. Mobile client is handy too, at least on iOS.

Pausing to express empathy for the hesitant "I don't really organize things" which I know from first-hand experience sounds contradictory but is so true for ADHD brain. I'd organize everything in a way that made sense last week, but this week my brain's in a different space and that organization makes no sense to me. Nowadays I focus on s structure and discoverability that will survive whatever high-level organization approach I may suddenly obsess over.
