We only shut down for Sundays, then first shift of the week is midnight Sunday so it's nice to have those breakers in the door ready to go because we usually only have 1 jockey working that shift. So the trailers get moved slower than they do the rest of the week when each shift has at least 3 of them shuffling around in the yard.

I will say that when I ran Secaucus, NJ to Charlotte, NC mostly 3 times a week and did help I had a walk-in sleeper so I could sleep in that yard and round trip was roughly 1,275 miles so if I got a Park Brook, (Cleveland) Ohio on a Friday at about 920 miles round trip it was almost like a vacation day ! Seems like every extra board with an LTL company is different. I’d only dream of doing runs that require doing a lay down it don’t bother me. However my company is more about meets than lay downs. Our biggest lay down was 608 miles until they turned it into a meet.
