Hey pal, not sure how to word this but something in youtube subscribed me to you despite the fact I've never seen or watched any of your videos before. Not trying to be rude, just letting you know the fact. You should be concerned that you are getting botted in some way or it's possible you are actually botting.

How do you think that would work? Is there something I can do to force an account I don't own to subscribe? That is not what "botting" means. I thank you for the engagement juice, though. It helps this video get seen more widely. I also wish you luck on figuring out why you subscribed to me, but please don't assume I had any part of it other than my outrageous w rizz.

@@KirinDave I sought only to inform you that you might be getting targeted by some system that automatically subscribes randoms to your account which bolsters your numbers by an arbitrary amount without expanding your view count which if you have some integrity, you should be concerned about that. Frankly what few minutes I've seen of your lineup of videos you consistently get either the low hundreds or the four thousand's in terms of views and that discrepancy is cause for suspicion at worst and concern at best. Whatever the case I no longer believe you have the integrity to engage in this consideration so I'm reporting you for view botting. Your snide remark about how 'botting' works or does not work did not endear me to your corner and frankly I suspect something more behind the scenes. I wouldn't have suggested such an action if I didn't think it was likely.

Sir, I work at Google. I work on parts of the KZbin infrastructure, I know how it works, and there is no way I can force you to sub. I've been on and off posting videos for a decade, so I'm obviously not a bot. It's bizarre to suggest that I am. If you believe I am misrepresenting my content you should report me and go on about your day. Let's just be rational for a moment, okay? What's more likely: that I have a secret arrangement with a shadowy org that hacked your computer to sub to me to inflate my sub count? Or that you accidentally pressed the sub button some time ago because the algorithm showed you my content, and then you forgot? Maybe you accidentally pressed sub sometime?
