I visited Europe's largest bookstore recently and so of course I had to share with you all this cosy vlog and book haul🥰
I had the best time browsing through 8 MILES of books and I'm so grateful that I had the chance to visit the bookshop.

I have only recently found fellow “paperback people”! I thought it was just me! I recently realized that I get super uncomfortable reading hardcovers, and avoid picking them up. I love the look and feel of paperbacks! I have replaced almost all of my hardcover books with paperbacks and now I only buy paperbacks. I save a little money, read more, they take up less space and I’m so much for comfortable when reading! And thank you for sharing your book haul! ❤

Waterstones looks absolutely lovely. The colorful books really stand out with the darker colored shelving. It’s beautiful. Thank you for taking us along with you😊 On a completely different note, do you sell stickers and/or small prints of your drawings… the ones you show all in a row at the beginning of your videos and when the next scene is loading (the little dragon, teacup, flowers, book, etc.)? Even images we can purchase, download, and print out ourselves would be wonderful and would be a lot less work for you hehe! Your drawings and color scheme are gorgeous. I adore them and would love to purchase them if possible❤

I'm so happy that I found your channel, because after watching two of your videos, it seems that we have a similar taste in books and I also love the cottagecore style ☺️ I immediately subscribed. I also cheered when I saw that you got Hedgewitch! 😄 It's one of the best middle grade books I've read and perfect for cottagecore lovers ☺️ Another middle grade book with a similar vibe that I discovered recently was Greenwild: The World Behind the Door by Pari Thomson. And if I could recommend one more book/series, I think because you liked Half a Soul, you might enjoy A Proper Dragon by E. B. Wheeler. It's set in a regency era with magic, and it has the cutest baby dragons, some mystery, adorable romance and humour ☺️ That said, thank you for showing us your trip to the big Waterstones bookshop! It really looks like a book lover's dream and if I ever go to England and London, I should definitely go there too 😍

Early May last year, I was in a truly terrible place, but I’d already committed to visiting New York with my Oma. Every day was a mix of wanting to enjoy my time with her while also feeling really detached and sad and stressed about everything happening in my life. That, in combination with the general cacophony of NYC, and I was so overwhelmed. I found out about a bookstore near our hotel and she said we could go. It was a beautiful bookstore, and I felt so incredibly comforted by all of the books, and the creaky floors, and the quiet conversation. Since then, when I’m down, I visit a bookstore, and I think about that moment, and I feel a little bit better.

I hope you get to write and illustrate your own book! I would love to read it, I think being a children’s illustrator is such a cool job. I work at a bookstore and sometimes I will read a children’s picture book that I come across, and I love seeing the art and reading the little short stories 😊 I don’t know if you’ve read The Tea Dragon Society or Hooky but those are some of my favorite graphic novels! I just finished the Hooky series and it has such a fun color palette and I love all of the characters so much. I also loved the Savior’s Book Cafe Story!

Would you consider doing a second hand bookshop visit? It’s a bit hard to find many second hand book stores, apart from the charity shops.

Having my Assam Tea w/milk. 8 floors of books!?!?!? Are you kidding me! That is Heaven! ( not really, but I'm sure you know what I mean).I love the content of your channel. There is just one thing I wish was different. The size of the font you use telling each photo. It is SO tiny I can't always read it and when it is in white and the background white or cream, very difficult to read. I'm probably the only one, but there it is. I first wrote that I would highly recommend you a comfy bookseat, that will hold the book for you in your lap. That way you dont have to hold the book yourself. It's really helped my shoulders, and it would be great for your hands! In my very first or second bookvideo I shared how it looks like! 🥰

I was able to get all 5 books in The Savior's Book Cafe in Another World on Amazon (USA). I loved it! The hardest one to get, was the first one. I have also been enjoying The Abandoned Empress, which I also found on Amazon. I loved going through the bookstore with you - it's been a long time since I've been able to go to a bookstore. Hopefully soon.🙂

The clothbound classics are lovely, but I find the oils from our fingers rub off the print. If you are ok with that read away otherwise, I purchase them for my collection and then either purchase a cheaper version of the book or library or audio or whatever in order to read the book. Hope this helps.
