the amount of plastic that is wrapped around the books, even the paperbacks is insane to see 🥲 in my country they reduced the plastic around books to a small minimum, almost none

Very interesting that all the books are individually wrapped in plastic, sad for environment. But love your thought process on book buying: reading about books to make sure its within your interest and reading first book of series to know if its something you want rather than buying the series just because. Very refreshing take versus a lot of people that just keep buying full series and all the novels from authors so they can have a fuller bookshelf. Love your vibe

A study in drowning is pretty good! I would say it was my favorite ever but I really did enjoy it. I read it before I read Divine Rivals and looking back I thought they were pretty similar vibe wise! 💕 I hope you enjoy it Mel!

I read "Parable of the Sower" in February for my Black Author's Month, and my jaw literally dropped when I saw how accurate it was, given the book was written in 1993. It's dystopian, but there are so many things that are so similar to what our own society is like, it's scary. I really want to get the second one soon! And also, Happy Birthday!

The Mystery Writer is a really good mystery but I must say that its my least faviourite Sulari Gentill book. The Woman in the Library is also a mystery but has some meta elements, like the main character writing the mystery that is happening around her at the same time. If you like the Mystery Writer, would highly recommend her other mysteries. 😄😄
