I watch those other Come Follow Me channels that you spoke of and they are indeed so very wonderful! But... they are like the appetizer to the much deeper feast I receive from your presentations. My spirit yearns for the weekly nourishment you so generously give. I'm so grateful for your willingness to share the knowledge you have worked so hard over many years to obtain, and for multiplying your "talent" to teach this knowledge to us. ❤

As an avid fan of your teaching, your secular/ church and spiritual knowledge and how you can tie things together and open understanding I thought it would be cool to watch your first video to see how much you have grown as a KZbinr presenter. Thank you for helping me understand the gospel and the history of the church in a very meaningful way. You have made my life better and helped me develop a closer relationship with God and Jesus. I'm 63 and with all my heart thank you for all your extraordinary efforts. I hope to meet you when we are on the other side, to shake your hand.

Starting around 29:15. I love how you connected the way they did the news paper to Korihor of Book of Mormon to the same way people attack other races, religions, political ideas and such today. The concept of simultaneously belittling and fear mongering to just pull people out of the "goldilocks zone" is so incredibly relevant to today. I have lately put your concept of finding the balance in the pendulum swings of life into much of my daily life including in my interpretations of the news and politics and it has helped in so many ways.

I did not expect the fruit of this journey. But it has been fruitful. We express our gratitude to the Lord that he expressly placed you on this Path with us so that we could be among the Saints, and that our testimonies might be strengthened by this faithful caravan of people who have chosen the Savior Bro be our guide. Surely He is into the details of our lives. My prayers include everyone, from the strong to the weak, that we might stay this course and endure to the end. I also thank those to fill my cart and push or pull it up the hills.

It seems since I joined the church at age 14, I'm now 65, I've been bombarded by fierce health issues. Being a member has been a very lonely journey. What I appreciate about you is your love for the Lord and his children really comes across. Of course I've come across stellar and Christlike members, wonderful saints, but I still don't feel part of the church family or have a sense of belonging. Your demeanor has helped me feel part of this great church. God bless you and your family.

Cathy- Thank you for sharing! It really touched my heart! You put in words what so many feel but hesitate to say! Thats one of MANY reasons you DO belong and are needed in "our church family". We need EVERY part to make a whole. I once heard , the Lord uses spiritual gifts in pairs, because we need both halves to make a whole. In this way both people are edified. Here is video link on unity titled watchmaker", I'm sure you will enjoy. kzbin.info/www/bejne/o3emlqOCd514eaM If you were in my ward I would give you a big hug and let you know you are loved and needed! Instead, I will now look for and reach out to all the "Cathy's" that cross my path! ! Best of luck to you and know you are loved! .😇❤

Before we get into the Old Testament and as part of the process of understanding the Book of Mormon, I have found it helpful to go back to the early months of 2020 where Jared Halverson began this unique teaching journey. All of the scriptures are tied together in a unique way. All of the prophets have been shown the truth from different perspectives and positioning along the path of their lives. It helps to have a seeker of truth as our guide as we move from month-to-month towards the time when the Lord is among us. That guide, Jared Halverson brings a spirit-activated perspective into our view from week to week. When that morsel of truth is expanded by it being mixed with knowledge from other truth seekers over the centuries and then interpreted individually via revelation, we are all coming to a knowledge of the Truth, Line-upon-line.. it would be well with us if we were to keep a study journal where we would write down those sacred impressions. It is surely the will of or Heavenly Father for each of us to grasp truth, but-by-bit until we have accumulated sufficient truth to have it activated in our behalf at some future moment that we will no longer be ignorant in these things, but rather, we can bear testimony to one another insomuch that we will all be edified. Is there any among us that are interested in an outline of sorts from brother Halverson where he has kept a reservoir of accumulated truths so that we might pull from that resource? This would be especially helpful as part of our daily dig into the Word of God. An impression at this time is that if such a teaching outline exists, even in raw form, it could be organized into a reference volume, and afterwards could be our own Wikipedia of mutual study of truth. I am not suggesting something that would replace the Words of Prophets, seers, and revelatory, but a study resource that provides us access to the insights of one humble man who has devoted much of his energy to help his fellow man and woman move for on this path. So, if there are other “unshaken wannabes” out there who have a similar desire, I ask these questions and share these comments. (Your fellow traveler, Lloyd Richmond).

Thank you Brother Halverson for teaching me so much about the History of the church and especially the Prophet Joseph Smith. Section 135 is especially beautiful and to understand more fully the circumstances around the Martyrdom has been so eye opening. Hearing the contents of the Nauvoo Expositor was heart wrenching to hear how misconstrued and twisted and such lies. Thanks for all you give to all of us. I feel like I understand The Doctrine and Covenants more fully. Thanks to you.

I dreaded this year. I didn't like the Doctrine and Covenants. Due to this channel and your teaching I have come to love it second only to the Book of Mormon. Thank you for opening my mind to the spirit to be able to testify of the truth and wisdom of this holy book. Always loved Joseph Smith. That was never an issue. It is sad to see this year come to a close. Now on to the second book I really didn't like! When I visited Carthage jail I cried. The spirit of grief was so strong. I felt as if I were there when he was murdered and it was painful but unforgettable.

2:17:00 native cheery temperment, but if that's not what you have or that you were born with, it's okay. If you're dealing with depression, anxiety or any other ailment that makes it difficult, "call upon God with supplecation that your souls may be joyful, to thank Him when that blessing is granted and to not give up on Him when it isn't. Someday, Christ will wipe away every tear from every eye."

Thank you so much Brother Halverson for your time and efforts to share God's message with us! I am so grateful for all that I have learnt this year about the Prophet Joseph Smith. I was ever thankful for what he has done to set up Heavenly Father's Church but now with the insights that you have given us about these difficult times, I am ever more grateful for him for laying down his life so we may have the Church organised today. I am grateful also for all these men and women who went through so much and gave us an heritage of faith and love. I have learnt also for myself that I have come to learn the Lord and His goodness in the challenging times of my life. I know He doesn't forget us but has graven our names in the palms of His hands. I know that in those difficult times of our lives, He does bear us, guide us, comfort us and nourish us with His love. May the Lord bless you and your family for all you are doing.

Bro. Jared ~ Just know how powerful are the teachings of the Lord in my life. You lay out every word of God as revealed in holy writ thru the prophets and reveal how we Saints fulfil them as the gospel stone continues to roll down the mountain with the eventual objective of filling all the earth. I love how you keep it basic and simple so we can connect the dots of cause & effect as we all work together as part of the total body of God bringing about his holy purposes in the lives of all people throughout the earth. Your teachings help us greatly in understanding these things in their proper context as we continue to help one another through the pathway of tears the wickedness of our present day brings.

I understand being “ shot” at by daggers bullets emotional wounds… there is no way there is no God. He sustains those of us who serve Who will be more powerful than you that serve the Lord Emotion cannot overwhelm a woman/man of God Satan uses emotions to control & distract

Beyond grateful for your time spent in sharing your knowledge and love of the scriptures! I tried several times last week to go back into You Tube and rewatch and listen to part 2 of your amazing and insightful lesson on plural marriage. Is there a reason why part 2 is not available, and will it be in the future?

I can't read Moroni without crying. He is one of the most "alive" prophets in scripture for me. And when I read about his visits to Joseph Smith it feels like a relief to know that he isn't just "ok" he is a resurrected being who continues to serve the Lord.

I have cried for them all for each one had such love , and had talked with family members to do something after death. And look what Hyrums family did What Ema had to do with all the children and the Mother of the Prophet. Some family remains for a little while, then they go on,had to. Ema is left in the Ghost of the town and peace is given to her for she had many things to keep her busy till death and then Joseph comes for her.📖❤️

As always, thoroughly enjoyed your presentation. Thank you for all you do to teach. I recently retired, and for some reason my wife asked me if I could take some college courses what I might enjoy taking. Thinking of your experiences I answered, maybe some divinity school courses. 🙂

Hi-YES! if accessing video by PHONE,- turn on "closed caption" by clicking on box with "cc", in UR corner of video. If you listen on your COMPUTER-here is a tip. You can open FULL manuscript (words) of ANY video Just click on 3 dots under lower rt hand corner, click on "open manuscript" and you can READ along! Also, hold Cntrl F, type ANY word in video in search bar and it will jump you to that part of video! LOVE modern technology! Hope this is as helpful for you😇❤

Hello Brother Halverson, I am watching some of these older videos. I am not sure you read all your messages, but I have a specific question regarding verse 136:8. While this verse specifically means the widows and fatherless children of a man who has died, what about the man who has died spiritually? Isn't a spiritual death in the eternal perspective of things worse? Just consider the statistics state how only 15% of the children will remain if just the mother attends church alone versus if the father goes alone the stats jumps up to 55%. I am currently seeing this to be true. The impact of a father on faith is huge. It makes sense given we pray to a Father in Heaven. There has to be a correlation between the two. I see this as a mother and a daughter how this can be the case. So, having laid this foundation of thought what does this mean for the verses shared in this chapter regarding widows. Does this not helping a "spiritual widow" fall under the protection of these verses too? If it can be applied as such, why aren't we teaching it this way? Why isn't there more support for the many, many single mothers, mothers married to an inactive or non-member husband?
