For those who might question if work for the dead is "forcing" people to become "Mormons," I find that Christ's atonement provides a superb example: Christ vicariously died for ALL mankind, yet He is not forcing anybody into heaven or to become a Christian. Every individual must accept Christ as their personal Savior. Similarly, every spirit may accept a vicarious ordinance. Nobody is being forced to become a member of the Church of Jesus Christ. The second estate extends from birth until resurrection, including the time spent in the spirit world. Agency was exercised in the first estate, and continues to be in effect in the second. We ultimately become exactly what we want to become, and go exactly were we want to go. Let us follow the example of the Savior and become saviors on Mt Zion. EVERYBODY needs the opportunity to choose Christ!

I thank you both for sacrificing your time and efforts to bless so many of us. When I became a widow 2 years ago I decided I wanted to immerse myself in the scriptures and do everything I could to bring the Spirit into my heart and home. Come Follow Me is a Godsend to me. I listen to you first every week to help me understand the chapters or sections we are studying that week. I take notes. You have given me so many insights and inspiration for changes in my life. I thank Heavenly Father every night for all of you who sacrifice so much to teach us the doctrine of Jesus Christ and help us understand it in ways that change our lives, and hearts through our Savior and the Holy Ghost. May the Lord continue to bless you both and your wonderful guests.

I have some wayward children who are struggling at this time in their lives. Lately, I have been praying for their ancestors to reach out to them. Right now, they don’t care to listen to me, but I am hopeful that they will listen/feel those from the other side who are reaching out to them. This lesson, gave peace to my soul. Thank you.

In Austria we are in the 5th lockdown in the last 2 years, due to Covid... meaning, that even church services could/can not be held. And when we can have services, then it’s mostly only the Sacrament meeting , often with only few members in the chapel and the others following the service via Zoom. Therefore I am so greatful I found your chanel on KZbin, where I can hear lectures with clear background information from exzellent and spiritual teachers - about the historical situation, in which the prophecies were given. Thanks for offering this kind of insight, hope that it will be continued!!! Thanks for sharing your time and knowledge generously and inspired!

I am so grateful to all of you who have taught me about life after death. I had a child in 1970 who only lived 5 days. I did not fully understand about where she went after her death. I was unset with God for taking her. Over the years of learning about the next life, I am very grateful for those men and women who have taught me that I will see my daughter again and be able to raise her in the next live. But most of all I am grateful for a loving Heavenly Father, and a Savior who has made it possible to live after you die. Thank you Taylor and Tyler for your vast knowledge about the Doctrine and Covenants this year. Also I am very grateful for Joseph Smith and all of those early saints who by the was were some of my ancestors. Thanks again for teaching me about the next life.

Oh my word what a beautiful lesson. I love it when guest presenters join Bro Halverson and Bro Griffin. Mary Jane has added some amazing insight to this lesson. Whilst I am always happy with what I do know, I do get gentle reminders that there is still more to learn. Learning in the gospel, and learning from the spirit is exciting despite the complexity and volume. The teachings of the Prophets and the Scriptures really do give me something to look forward to when my time comes to leave this earth. It is so exciting to hear the words of Joseph F Smith about teaching the gospel to those in the spirit world. I love what Sister Mary Jane said about teaching the gospel to our families. Brother Griffin has inspired me to set a new years resolution for myself, and set aside time to study and ponder the teachings of our modern day Prophets. I don't know how I am going to do it, but I said the same thing about all the CFM lessons too, and so far I have kept up. I just think I am missing out by not making time to hear heavenly lessons. There is not alot I know of the modern day prophets and their teachings so I am really looking forward to studying their words. Gosh, there were just so many points that resonated with me. I love what Bro Griffin said about relying on the Lord first over technology and social media for answers. I have felt this myself, but now I am really going to be mindful and not put the transparent counsel of what is available before the Lord. There are times I have engaged in projects where I have followed instructions from a social media video. I would often run back to the phone to play out the next set of instructions or go back and replay, often times I have felt the gentle promptings to ask the Lord first. I love what Bro Halverson said about distraction and destruction. I also love what was said about the WW1 and WW2 casualties, and how the deaths of the Prophets occurred at a time when they would also be in Heaven to teach and comfort the dearly departed. The trials that Prophet Joseph F. Smith experienced as a child I think prepared him for his own future trials as difficult as that may be to understand. He dealt with huge world events in his time as Prophet. Watching these wonderful lessons always puts things into perspective for me. Thank you CFM❤️

I really enjoy the "classes" by Tyler and Taylor. I heard your comments about D&C 138 and the short time Jesus had between the Crucifiction and the Ressurection. I take the liberty to give my opinion. I don't think the time in the eternities is counted in seconds, hours, days months and years. I think in the eternities time is not counted at all. It can't be counted because everything is eternal, and eternal is not time🙂 So Jesus had enough "time" to minister hose few mortal hours.

I love these lessons. One thing though. I served my mission on temple square. We taught plural marriage. I think we need to be corrected when we use the word poligamy. It’s not poligamy it’s plural marriage. When a member of the church uses poligamy instead of plural marriage makes me grinch. Right now poligamy is being practiced by the reformed church. We didn’t practice poligamy. We practiced plural marriage and only worthy members of the church were asked to practice this.

Why do the presenters here feel compelled to say that this revelation states that the Savior did NOT go to spirit prison? The word prison does not occur at all in section 138. They have made the incorrect assumption that spirit prison is some separate locale from the that where the Just and the Faithful, those who “departed the mortal life, firm in the hope of a glorious resurrection, through the grace of God the Father and his Only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ”, reside. It is improper to impose ones own interpretation of what Spirit Prison is on the contexts of this revelation. It is simply wrong. There is zero disconnect of what section 138 reveals and what is spoken of clearly and concisely in Genesis 39:22, all of chapter 40, Isaiah 24:22, Ecclesiastes 4:14, Luke 4:18, 1 Corinthians 15, Joseph Smith’s own translations of these same verses, D&C 76: 72-74, and repeated teachings of both Joseph Smith and Brigham Young on this subject. I would suggest before one declares all of this vast catalog superseded and even incomplete or mistaken, one simply adjust ones own vocabulary to include more than one understands it to be.

Thank you for your insights this week. I have received the most personal revelation about things in my life when doing family history work. I love the concept of the referral card! I’ve studied and clung to these 2 sections of the Doctrine & Covenants since my son died by suicide 4 yrs ago. He was a US Marine and considered himself agnostic at times. Before he could receive the Melchizedek priesthood by proxy in the temple I can testify that he wasn’t ready before the year was up and he received his endowment. I also believe that during Christ’s visitation he wasn’t limited by our time on earth. I know that spirits don’t live by the law of gravity either, so by reason spirits don’t sleep.

I find it curious that Joseph F. Smith saw in the heavens that women teach women and men teach men, as opposed to "co-ed classrooms". I wonder what the purpose is for this separation. Would it be akin to women being baptized for women, etc.? I get why that is, but the separation of genders while teaching and learning is a mystery to me for now. And yet Mary Jane said she was impressed that her father taught her great-great grandmother. No worries--the confusion won't destroy my testimony.

I have something to say about the blessings of our bodies. Yes our bodies get sick, get emotionally downtrodden, and ect, but the genius of our bodies is change and we can employ that change to whatever direction we choose. In effect force us to grow after we learn from our experiences. Remember that is our job here on earth to learn and grow and overcome the effects that we have from the fall of Adam and Eve. With the Blessings of Christ and his direction we can we can access the atonement and thus we can return to Father with knowledge and a body.
