In the early 1870s, my great great grandfather was living in Logan, Utah and was going through a bit of a personal faith crisis when he heard that Martin Harris had moved to the nearby town of Clarkston. So he decided to walk the 10 or so miles to Clarkston to find Martin and ask questions of him himself. He walked to Clarkston, found Martin Harris' home, and in my great great grandfather's recording of what happened, he wrote, quoting Martin Harris: "As sure as there is night and day, as sure as the sun is in the sky, as certain as you stand there and you hear my voice, as sure and true is the fact I saw the Angel and the golden plates, and as sure and true is the Book of Mormon from the power of God." Hearing Martin Harris' testimony, and feeling of his strong spirit and complete sincerity, my great great grandfather's faith crisis immediately ended. He later wrote that he "was so excited about seeing Martin and feeling his enthusiasm and spirit for the Book of Mormon" that shortly after returning to Logan he went to Salt Lake to meet with Brigham Young to volunteer to help bring Church members from Missouri to Salt Lake, which he did twice. That 10-mile walk to Clarkston saved his testimony and has blessed the lives of hundreds of his progenitors, including me, for which I am eternally grateful.

One of my husband’s family talked often with Martin Harris when he was old. He heard Martin Harris’s last testimony and bore witness of it often.

I love how the Lord called 12 official witnesses to bear testimony of his marvelous work of helping men write, compile, and later translate the witness of Christ of the Nephites. The first modern witness was alone in his testimony until the Lord sent the three and the eight. Even today, it's the Prophet Joseph Smith's witness that is ridiculed and challenged the most by men. He was faithful until the end of his life to his witness of the Savior's work through the Book of Mormon.

A truth will set one free if they accept and live by it. Knowing the Book of Mormon is a true record sets one free from many traditions taught by men without revelation. We should pray that the adversary's deceptions that are keeping sincere people from accepting the Book of Mormon will be exposed and removed.

Love the content but would like more depth about the possibility of two sets of plates. This would help negate much of the anti Mormon sentiment that the descriptions of the plates size etc were differing between the 3 and 8 witnesses.

You should produce the same video, which is great, without the music. The music cheapens the spiritual message because it makes it sound like any reality TV show. You don't need the music to build the excitement. To me it was very distracting. Great video though, thank you.

How come the Bible don’t have witnesses say that the Bible is true witness of God coming forth to the world testifying of God and His Son and the Holy Ghost and their marvelous works to mankind. Just a thought came to my mind has I watch this video.

Scripture Central has several good articles on why the witnesses left the Church. It was a lot more complicated that just having problems with JS’s character. You might want to check those out!
