so sorry you have been battling drought, blight and pests! It’s a lot to take care of when you’re working a full time job and Mother Nature. I would have been crying seeing all those critter eaten tomatoes! I hope next year will be better or you get some rain soon. Love seeing your gardens! Thank you for all your efforts to bring the good, bad and disappointing of gardening!

I have started ten plants of Jarson 13/Ochre Pear this year for the Growout. Had one tall and beautiful and loaded. The whole plant died while in hard green stage because of torrential rains. No seeds. The other early plants died young. I ended up starting over, five out there now, only one plant doing decent….. barely starting to put out a few buds. I still have faith I’ll get seeds.

Hi Jen, I’m getting off subject here, but I watch all your utube updates and know you are growing green Milo this year and have previously grown black Milo. I cannot find them anywhere on google. Can you please tell me where you got them from. Thanks.

I have this year. But I also like letting them ripen on the vine if I can. Done years I get lucky but this was definitely not one of those years so I have been taking ones at first blush.

How do you avoid Hybridization? 😔

There’s only a very slight chance of cross pollination. Like 6 percent chance. If I’m really concerned I will bag blossoms.

First year growing a lot more dwarves n I think next year I'll pluck off some suckers because wow!! My rockstar has been Rumplestilksin n definitely recommend 🌞 only jarson I've growing jarson 17 definitely doesn't look like the variety. It's supposed to be red but it's more of a gold green . Tastes good though lol
