An early morning fall ride. I like usual overly appreciate life on a ride to the grocery store.

Yep, I love my '07 1300C as well. It's my first bike, and I fell in love with it the minute I took it for a test ride. Mine is the Pearl Uranium Green, has a new Memphis Shades Slim windshield, Mustang seats (which I highly recommend), and Viking hard bags (I also recommend). A lot of guys who own the 1800 VTXs say that the 1300 is slow, but I find that rather silly. If you ride in traffic at all, or even on back-road cruising, the extra torque and power of the 1800 is impractical for the added weight. I prefer to be able to take the twisties a little batter than have unusable torque. Stay safe!

Right on man! Couldn't agree more with you. I have driven fast bikes and this thing still feels like a beast on the highway. I have been contemplating upgrading the seat. Maybe I will over this winter, I am also toying with selling all my bikes to buy one to ride across North America in the spring, we'll see. Ride safe man!

Early morning ride is an absolute duty in life, cruising though the cool breeze and the beauty of the mountain roads just turns you into a wonderer traveling on your own terms nowhere to go but straght ahead. 😊

I have a VTX 1300 too. I have really enjoyed mine and it is a totally reliable and bullet proof bike. It looks good and handles good for a big bike. Mine gets almost 40 miles per gallon and when I'm on the highway my car gets about 44 miles per gallon. So I understand what you mean. I can actually save money on gas if I drive my car instead of my bike. I hate that because I used to tell my wife I needed to ride a motorcycle so that we could save money on gas. Now however I have had to think up new excuses such as I am saving the car from wear and tear.

Haha! That’s the best! I do the same thing. Less miles on the car ya know, always thinking! It’s a great bike and I do enjoy it, also super bulletproof and last forever. I tent to just try lots of bikes out I guess, I might keep it though we’ll see!

One of the best bikes on the road by far! Love my 2003 with only 10k miles that I bought last year in an online auction.

Yeah? I've always wanted to try out an 1800. They seem insane. This one makes me smile though and is super fun to ride.

Stock seats absolutely suck on those. I got a mustang seat on mine and it completely changed the ride on it. I can go all day on it and not be sore. Putting on highway pegs helps a lot too so you can stretch out.

This is exactly what I was looking at doing too. I’m just not too sure, I do miss my KLR, and I admit I like trying lots of different bikes. We’ll see if this person offers me a unrefuseable cash offer. Thanks for the info man!

I think to much. But have learned from a few bad days that good days are any day that is “normal”. I actually just modified my seat last night. So we’ll see, but I have been looking at the mustang and ultimate seats. Thanks!

Dude what type of pipes do you have on your bike? I have a 2007 VTX 1300C with stock pipes and I love the deep throatiness of your bike.
@nickandmotorcycletime524610 ай бұрын
Thanks man, they came with the bike but the previous owner said they were "Hard Chrome" brand pipes. Its kinda loud but its fun haha.

I went from the '96 1100 Shadow, which is a four speed and now with my 1300 VTX, I forget some times to shift into 5th. Th difference between 4th and 5th is not much, so I don't notice the engine rpms much.

just getting my motorcycle license & looking for my first bike. i’m a bigger guy around 6’6” and my uncle recommended that i buy his vtx 1300, because of the size & so that i can grow into it a little bit. what do you think? any concerns for a new rider or should i just go for it?
@nickandmotorcycletime52467 ай бұрын
Honestly I would just go for it. Your size might even warrant finding some forward controls and highway pegs. I just did the Goheen Cycles Forward Controls and it added 3 inches for my legs to stretch out. I'm 5 '11 but long legs and it helped a bit, but I want highway pegs for cruising long distances. The bike can be forgiving but could also get you into trouble like any other bike. As long as you respect that it can crush you pretty quick if you lose control since it weighs 640lbs. But take your time and you'll love it. They are insanely reliable bikes, some people getting over 200 000 miles! which is nuts. Easy to work on and maintain, I say go for it man. Let me know what you get!

@@nickandmotorcycletime5246 Picked up the bike last weekend for $2500 bucks, has about 20k miles on it. Thing is badass man. Totally manageable and forward controls were already installed on the bike. Been having a good time riding around the last week.
