You are living on my literal dream farm. Always wanted to own and live on a farm with horses, goats and chickens, maybe a cow or two but alas I know rationally I can never afford that. There are so many lovely things to comment on. The bale barns are REALLY NEAT. I have never seen them before. I can see how great they are, protecting the hay from weather AND preventing waste of hay. Excellent idea ❗️

Your home is awesome! A dream come true! You have such a way with horses that is just beautiful. I can see the pride you and hubby have for your property. Your whole setup makes it an everlasting joy to be on. The changes you have made are all noticed as for your horses and the same care as you have for your horses. 💯💯💯Wow, Shea! You and Kyle hit the jackpot on your first farm house, barn with 12 stalls and 2 end paddocks, then the 3 pastures. Your horses are out 24/7 except for weather, injury, etc. The grass is so green and that bale barn in the middle is a magnet for feeding. Kyle is very handy doing the construction on that old barn from 1860s. Love your grandpa's 1956 truck. Reworking old wood is so much fun compared to build Tough Sheds, pre-fab. Always worry about the chemicals off-gassing from those modular things. You know you should get an equine author / illustrator to develop your barn/farm into a children's book. You could have a petting farm there, too. There is a very good author from that European channel. Think you know her name! ❣💯

Even Kyle's fav pig, Penelope, caught your eye today, schmoozing in the barn stall during the day before going inside with you. Pigs are such good pet companions. Keep on building your dream business. You are a great role model for the rest of us, trying to learn how to do all these things.

Thank you for the tour. You and Kyle have a lovely place. The barn & stalls are so neat and clean. Kyle is certainly a blessing to have the ability to build the paddocks. I can’t imagine the hard work it took to build the “ sturdy “ fence. I would imagine it takes both of you to do the upkeep of your very beautiful farm, so much area to cover. Your horses are beautiful and it’s obvious they get the best care. I enjoyed the tour of the farm. Kyle’s workshop is quite impressive,too. You and Kyle are a lovely couple. I live in Ann Arbor, my heart horse (a 20+yo lipizan, owned by a friend) lives on Saline Waterworks. My main interest is driving. I grew up in Eastern Pennsylvania. I drove in the 1987 Devon Carriage Marathon, when I worked with a Morgan farm near DC. I'm retired. Would love to visit. Buzz would make a fun driving pony.

🤔 good 💡idea ?? Wash the horse at the auction & change halter BEFORE loading into trailer?? Portable water heater if weather permits?? Especially face, 👃, tail, & hooves. Pick out hooves & submerge in a little 🪣 of soapy water. I guess this COVID-19 has me more aware. 🤷‍♀️

That wouldn’t really make sense. If the horse has a contagious respiratory disease (which is the most common) then washing them isn’t going to change anything in regards to contaminating.

You found a beautiful, functional piece of paradise, Shae. I wondered how much pasture land you had to support 8 to 10 plus horses. I see you have enough, not to have to rotate for regrowing. You also don’t have harvesting fields for hay. So, in the winter, what is the hay type you feed the horses when the pasture land is covered in snow and ice? Do you supplement the grain more in the winter? Do you use some Alfalfa hay year round but different portions depending on time of year and work load? Have you already put a video together discussing this? As I m a new sub of about 5 to 6 weeks, ( just came aboard several hours to days) after Ezzy’s birth, I m still trying to catch up when I have time to do some extra video binging. I really want to know all about your operation. I m impressed with your philosophy in this area. I agree with you on many points. I spent a lot of time on Prince Charming’s playlist. I sympathize, empathize, and related completely to your decision regarding his end of life. I believe you made the best choice for him. Anyway, I m trying to understand more about how your Amazon Wish List functions and your personal FSF merchandise transactions operate. I want to support using those avenues. I love your house design. Quite classic for region, era and farm life. I m so glad you kept the classic “red barn” color too. In my experience, a home and farm are always a “work in progress.” They are the exterior and interior of a “Living Operation”! There will never be more than a few days in the life of these structures and areas that won’t need some kind of repair, adaptation, better functional designs, newer sustainable materials and tools, wear and tear, etc. These structures and areas are extensions of a living, humane beings.
