What you're seeing and doing there is the way of American agriculture going back many generations. My grandfather ran a threshing machine in the area here and all the farmers would get together to bring in the crop and all their wives would get together to prepare meals to feed them. It's a long-held tradition in American agriculture

I remember as a kid that no one could afford all of the equipment so one farmer had the peanut thrasher another had the tractor to run it one had the digger and another had the baler and we did every one's work that's why it's called a farming community all farmers get to see GOD's handy work every day all day I couldn't think of doing anything else

It’s a blessing to have a wonderful group of friends with equipment to help with your getting the hay baled hauled off and taken to be wrapped up in plastic for storage. Meredith and Lawrence you should be blessed with all your local friends to help get everything taken care of before Lawrence has knee surgery. Wesley you done a mighty beautiful job using your drone to film everyone doing a wonderful job. Austin and Wesley now you need to step up and help mom with work around the farm and home when dad has surgery and recooperating at home. Reading comments reminded me of another story (my family would be shocked (not)) we live/lived in a farming area however we were basicly city sleepers, every summer my folks planned their vacation around friends in PA working their hay and my dad spent his "VACATION" baling hay with my name sakes parent's. Great memories and lot of work so I know the blessing your friends were (ARE), Also helps knowing you have a "village" to help while LB recovers. HUGS and again prayers for the surgery and healing.
