Where you Johnson grass may not be problem other areas Johnson grass turn toxic to cows and goats and sheep but belive it has something to do with getting frosted when weather changes sets up a chemical in the grass and once freezing temp frost then turns toxic

Thank God you and LB have the kids and neighbors to help. Just returned from a visit with my cousin in Arkansas. He put away 600 bales, give or take, by himself. Can not find any workers. Cut, rake, bale, load and stack. But had to first cut and haul 43 loads of thorn trees be from the pasture before he could start. He is in his early 70's. And he still has to tend the cows. 💕Austin and Wesley riding the horses is the best. Would love to see all four of you riding together. My Dad worked the Danville tobacco market in the early 1900’s. Thanks for the name on that berry bush TG. They are pretty but down here in the DEEP south (GA) it grows wild and is a nuisance. The birds eat the seed and scatter them everywhere ... especially where you don't want them. 👌

Watching LB getting down to work on the batwing made me a little sore! I’ve got a dozen plus years on LB and I know just how difficult getting up was going to be. I have attempted to order a “ski hook” from Amazon, seems they longer have them available. LB is a lucky man having you and the kids to help. I am sure the harder he works the luckier he gets! Meredith I would love to know more about the BRIGHT LEAF event you were talking about in this video. I LOVE your videos. My name is Randy Joyner with TOBACCO BARN WOOD. I take down tobacco barns and reclaim the timber. Been taking tobacco barns down for 30 years the last 15 reclaiming the timber and selling it. I have taken down over 85 to 90 barns. I am in Eastern North Carolina where FLUE CURED TOBACCO is king. I was raised up working in tobacco THE OLD WAY so it is part of my heritage. The last 5 years I have been going to shows and events as a vender selling things I make from tobacco barn wood. I just did a big tractor show in Red Oak, N.C last weekend. You mentioned a farmer friend in Eastern N.C. Was that Brent Leggett. I live close to him. This is also the biggest area in the USA for growing sweet potatoes. Brent grows a lot. I think the BRIGHT LEAF event will be to far for me to attend but would love to know more about it if you can send me some information on it. Hear are a few pictures of last weekend in Red Oak. The bush you admired is called American Beauty Berry and it is all over to be found in the woods. The berries are slightly tart and ppl make Jams and jellies from them. I hear they also serve as a mosquito repellant lol...Just get you a cutting and stick it in dirt :) I am glad the kiddos found a good activity to do and cant wait for you to join them riding! God bless yall! I used to go mushroom hunting with my uncle who was an expert all I remember and know 100% all mushrooms that have like a sponge on the underside are edible!! They cost a whole lot!! The ones with the gills in the bottom I dont know but like I said the spongy ones are delishious! The one Wesley had was one of the edibles (sponge bottom) dry them and use them in any roast gravy (soak in water b4 use and cut them smaller once soft then cook! No comparison to any button mushrooms or shitake, Qyster shrooms-the ones from the woods are power flovor ones! Google what I told u but its true

That plant with the purple berries is American beautyberry or French Mulberry (Callicarpa americana). It is an open-habitat, native shrub of the Southern United States which is often grown as an ornamental in gardens and yards. American beautyberries produce large clusters of purple berries, which birds and deer eat, thus distributing the seeds.

Thas ok if you didn't video the tobacco auction. I'm familiar with what goes on in tobacco warehouse. We used to grow tobacco. We don't do any row cropping. We sold most of our equipment a few years ago. All we do now is turkeys and a few cows. I live and work on family farm in northwestern Wayne County. Speaking of sweet potatoes, the man renting our land has sweet potatoes beside my house. Hopefully I can go find some after the crews have finished. Callicarpa bodeneri giraldii, "Beauty Berry" is a deciduous "fruit" but I cannot find anywhere it is described as a "delicious" fruit. So, you might just 'decide' to let it lie when it falls to the ground.

Hope you get this, wrong story but.. the R42 combines you might tell your husband to get an extra spindle for the rear they break spindles very common. Great wheat and oats combine. With corn he needs to shove it full all the time tell him. Otherwise it will waste grain for some reason. It's built to run full bunny! Hope that helps.

I can appreciate his issue getting up and down as my knees are also sad condition from type if work I done and now getting up and d down from be down on my knees don't need walking assistance except when get up from the ground currently retired but still work part time and find my self on my knees fixing in ground irritation or flipping homes and apartments so much work requires knee time and doest matter how much padding used the transition from kneeling to standing real pain in the tush

Wes give at horse a bath with some iodine shampoo a couple times and see if he ull quit rollin with the saddle on.... I had a mare doin that and she had a little rain rot under the saddle itchin er...A few baths with the iodine shampoo cleared it all up...

the farmer told rocket to come here not go lie down - that is why he was called to him again - my two have to sit and wait in the door way with the door open until they are released to go and it is normally for them to go down to the beach for a run and swim so the call from me is - car - get in - get up - the control is about the times they just have to do what they are told because it is dangerous
