They were sharing what their first impressions of each other had been, and how their view had or hadn't changed. She said he likes the finer things, that he likes to project an image, and that he can be a bit pompous really. He threw a tantrum at the table, called her a fat troll, and insulted the other two guests (who had been nothing but sweet and nice throughout) at the same time. Jane still scored him him a 7/10, but the other two gave him really low marks since they didn't like his food or the argument, which put him in last place. He blamed Jane and lost his rag again. To be fair, Jane had insulted him before "as a joke" and she came across as cocky, brash and a dick herself, but he was also arrogant, dismissive of others, and yes, pompous. Plus clearly has a temper problem!

People have Peter pinned as the perpetrator of the problems (all them p's), but if you watch the whole episode, which is utterly riveting, Jane starts it by referring to him pie eating (as he's a bit fat) and pats his tummy. Then he reacts, and is shown commentating that he refrained from calling her fat, and then says she looks like Posh Spice when clearly she doesn't, it's a dig at her appearance and weight. It goes on from there, when she calls him pompous and he has a hiss fit at the table. My money is on Jane fancying him, which is why she patted his stomach and made a dig at his fat, but I suspect Peter is gay and wouldn't have an interest in her. SHE started it. They are both confrontational, loud mouthed and opinionated, and they were put together on purpose to cause fireworks.

Yes I agree she did start it but you can tell by the way she was making a joke it wasn’t supposed to be mean-spirited in comparison to when he takes jived at her it’s really really mean-spirited I understand how fat shaming is an unacceptable thing to say to people on the first day you meet them but she did immediately apologise and hugged him after making that joke where as he’s constantly throughout the episode he he’s rude and alienates the others having a joke like the one Jane made is hurtful but it shows The lack of maturity he has when dealing with situations
