I´m sitting here, watching Expo videos, while my stupid country has banned all reptile expos.. They apparently want us to buy Animals/Supplies from shitty petstores and similar shops where you pay about three times the price, instead of from reputable breeders at said expos, where you get the best advice and products for your animal.. Damn... I miss the reptile expos so much. I really enjoyed talking to the people and looking at all the stuff there. Now I have to order pretty much everything online or visit other countries to go to expos. And all just because of our idiotic politicians who pretty much want to stop us from keeping reptiles/other "exotic" animals..

They say you shouldnt hold a snake until its had a few days to adjust to its new home, but what about at the expo? Not good to handle them there since its a new and kind of scary place?

Dwarfurious That's a really good question! When buying a snake I would always ask to handle, that is to check the temperament of the snake and to see if it has any illness ect. But when getting it home, I would leave it alone to adjust to the new soroundings :-)

I just went to an Expo today, actually, and most of the breeders were nice enough to let you hold them or they tell you that they'd prefer you not to touch them. One of the guys that had a Pastel Ivory Ball Python (my favourite, and the one i will be getting next year) practically threw the little noodle at me, telling me that I was allowed to hold her because of how friendly and docile the type of snake is. It's ALWAYS best to ASK if you can handle your snake before purchasing, but if it isn't allow, that is totally okay too!

When I buy a new reptile I give it 3 hours in a dark room/tank with a heating pad and cool side then I handle them unless there still feniky

Wolfia Moon If it were me I would wait for expo, but I also really enjoy the atmosphere and talking to the people there. If you wait, you'll have a great opportunity to talk with the breeder getting all the information that you can, and also, if you need, extra things for your terrarium, setup ect. Also expos are just a really great experience! :-)

Ugh, where I live we have like no pet expos, I live in ohio and it’s so hard to find any. Maybe one day I can go out of my state to another expo but it wouldn’t be very convenient

The worms might be Calci worms/ pheonix worms. Don't think they are wax worms because they are not healthy which you said they were. : )
