Those are "northern" or "Kentucky" spotted bass in the Upper Flint and have been there for a long time. The spots in the Ocmulgee are "Alabama" spots.

Great job on not releasing the spot - we need to protect those shoalies. I do the same, to heck with anyone that gets mad about it. They are actually pretty good to eat.

i hear ya on the GoPro issues, the heat MASHED mine on Friday and the last time out with my bride i had a corrupted card dangit! i understand the spot thing, i try to fill my freezer with em. they eat just as good as a crappie and are easier to clean!
