It's good to see the beaches of Nice have not changed in the many years since I was there. Foot killing rocks that, although they are smooth, come together in a bone bruising way with every agonizing step, 😂! Only the locals can walk barefoot on that beach without looking desperately ridiculous. So glad you got a moment to get away, you both deserve it, I hope you enjoyed your night.

Nothing beats a lil trip to Nice at this time of year, a perfect dose of vit d and lovely French hospitality. Perfect golden hour trip to the beach for you both to decompress after the last few months. (Even if it does always remind me of Brighton beach with all the pebbles. 🤣😂) I love how they fit the crazy lifts in the old European buildings. I also feel your pain for finding food options over there but hey perfect excuse for chips and pizza 🤣 wishing you both a lovely trip sending lots of positive healing vibes and best wishes and hugs 🤗🐶🤗 Now go soak up every second 🤗

I do the same, no matter how cold weather and the water might be I must have my feet in the water. I once spend New Years Eve in Brighton and couldnt resist to jump the waves (its a Brazilian supersticious to bring good luck among many other we do in new years eve)

Promenade des Anglais means the English Promenade, it was named this because wealthy English people 100 years or so ago had it built so they had somewhere nice to stroll, it is 7kms long. One of my favourite places in the whole of France. X
