I use to use the same scrub until I learned it increases future redness and inflammation. It also contains sulfates which are drying and irritating, and other ingredients that clogs pores and gives your face microscopic cuts (all apricot scrubs do) . I switched to dr brandt scrub you can get it at Sephora
@zeea32988 жыл бұрын
ken Kat I used to use the St Ives apricot scrub for years and had very bad acne specially on my chin and cheeks where I would scrub extra hard. After switching to a gel cleanser, my acne has calmed down a lot. Some exfoliating is food, but a harsh exfoliating scrub can do more harm than good!

Quick question!!!! How often do you Nair your skin? every 10-12 days? Just wondering how often you do yours so that I will know when I start to do mine!
@jennbittner87358 жыл бұрын
Ladies, do not put this on your face or any other sensitive area. Nair is made up of a bunch of chemicals that can cause numerous types of irritation. Which is why Nair is not intended for use on your face/genital areas. You can get a chemical burn, chemical dermatitis and will likely breakout as well. Skin care is so important, treat your skin well. I'm a licensed esthetician and it's my instinct to speak up and try to educate people on skincare.
@reese_dd19438 жыл бұрын
jennbeebeauty lol it's obviously said "nair face cream" so that type is for the face
@jennbittner87358 жыл бұрын
Reese Duarte I honestly don't care what it's advertised for. There's many products and foods out there that have harmful ingredients in them. The people who produce and sell these products are not going to tell you that. I'm trying to help some people because I am educated on skin care and know what I'm talking about. If you want to listen to what anyone says on the internet and be naive, that's your choice!
@FreeDrugz8 жыл бұрын
you say you know what you're talking about but you literally just said "nair is not intended for use of your face" when this literally is intended for that exact reason. Whether the chemicals are too harsh for your liking, it still is approved for the use of facial skin.

Kim Morales there's a chemical exfoliater that isn't abrasive but once you massage it in, you can see your dead skin peeling off. Lemon sparkling water exfoliater, Real Chemistry and the Paula's choice BHA exfoliant.
@ComeBacktoMe8 жыл бұрын
Been using it for years and have always liked the outcome. Creating mini cuts in the skin doesn't sound far off from micro needling so maybe that would help the skin to regenerate quickly... something to think about but thanks for your suggestion!
@ComeBacktoMe8 жыл бұрын
might have to try this thanks
@jaimedanielian95718 жыл бұрын
Chantel Jeffries I always say if it works for you, do you girl! 😉 Just wanted to throw it out there as a skin professional- we have been taught St. Ives is not the best for your skin. Mini tears from the scrub are different than micro-needling because it's causing subtle damage to the skin by scraping the surface whereas the micro-needling creating precise spots and stimulates collagen and allows for better product penetration.
