I spoke with the couple after and they're doing better than ever. The audience and Geoffrey were unaware that she was one of those diamonds in the rough who loves both RBG and Clarence Thomas. Also, as a child people used to make fun of her face, and as a caring and concerned partner, he saw an opportunity to help her improve her self-esteem and move past her childhood trauma by emphasizing his love for the beautiful features that once caused her pain. They married in a shotgun wedding and she's already pregnant. They owe it all to Geoffrey!
