@@Aphorim It was a joke, she went along with it, they both have "real" jobs, she is not becoming a psychologist, she is becoming a psychiatrist, that makes her a doctor, and not only a doctor, but a specialist. All those obese Americans with sleep apnea, yeah they are going to make her bank, all those kids with ADHD, well they won't make her bank unless she shills hard for big pharma but they will still make her good money, those old people with Alzheimer's, good money to be made, Bipolar disorder, again money. What Akaash was really making fun of, was the fact that her medical specialty in particular, has become well known for over prescribing addictive drugs rather than finding alternative ways to treat mental illnesses as there is a financial incentive for the doctors to do so, which has most notably led to the opioid crisis. His job, could also be boiled down to, you knock people out then wake them up, but everyone knows it isn't as simple as that, there is a reason they make the big bucks. Stop being misogynist, chances are, her job is more real than yours. Just because she might be leading this guy on a bit (and we don't know if she is), which if she is, then that is wrong, doesn't give you the right to be misogynist.

You are like one of the only male commenters to have a decent grip on reality. Thank you for pointing out that she shouldn’t be obligated to date him. Hopefully your fellow men will listen to you 🎉 Everyone has the right to make their intentions clear. It’s not deceptive for her to be his friend. I don't think the majority of male commentors are saying she's obligated to date him. More like she's not obligated to use him. Idc what anyone says a genuine friendship goes both ways. I've seen women only talk to their male "friend" when it's convenient. I've seen men only befriend women who were drop dead gorgeous. 9/10 theres ulterior motives. Women don't owe us a relationship. We don't owe women a friendship. That simple

@@pfroggy23 Not ALL men...but it is mostly a mentality found amongst men aka mistaking friendship, kindness, trust, or even a touch on the shoulder as a sign that the girl is into you. That moronic concoction in a guy's head leads to incels, rapists, or very angry men who think that if you hold an umbrella over a girl's head then she needs to go down on you. It is possible that some women enjoy that attention without seeking ouy anything else. But question is, why does the guy think buying a drink, and being kind to a girl is going to lead to something? That's the root of it all. In my opinion.
@pfroggy23
@pfroggy23 11 ай бұрын
@@martinh.wilson2897 I agree, basic human decency doesn't/shouldn't equate an invitation to bed. Compliments, hugs, and kindness are things that men should get from their families so they don't mistake them for advances. Buying a drink is a well known culturally embedded strategy to either get to know/hook up someone. That's why it became a thing for women to not accept random drinks in fear of being taken advantage of. Now I wish people would just be honest and just say that it's different for everyone. Simply saying hi and buying a drink might work on 1 woman but not 1000 other women and that's okay
@Recursively_
@Recursively_ 11 ай бұрын
@@martinh.wilson2897 FACTS. I would also add (in response to some of the other commenters) that I find it very unlikely that a girl is “using you”. If a girl says she wants to be your friend and you both are spending time together how is she using you? She has stated very clearly her honest intentions. If a guy chooses to buy her things and continuously “pursue her” that is in no way her fault. Unlike men, females in friendships do care for each other and we do occasionally treat one another. This means that she probably doesn’t even realize he’s trying to “pursue her” and assumes he’s just being a nice friend. It’s so dishonest for a guy to pretend to be a woman’s friend in order to get with her. For example, I was close friends with male coworker for many years. My husband met him many times and was okay with us being friends. We both assumed he was safe because he was also married. Over the years he became one of my dearest friends and we both celebrated each other as our families grew. He ruined it all by asking me if I’d be interested in having an affair one day when we met for lunch. That’s when I realized that it had been deception all along. He was never my friend. It really hurt me deeply. I never spoke to him again.

As a woman, I agree. I don't care if he says he's OK with being "just a friend"; if he's paying for VIP tix somewhere, I classify that as a date. If I'm not into him romantically--even a little bit--I'm not going.

How can a “friend” just allow another “friend” pay for your vip tickets? Ill either be shamed as hell and at least pay or pay half, OR ill know he’s into me. If its the latter and you dont like him like that, just confront the person and tell him outright. Its possible the guy is gay too lol
