What the hell is it with this Bert Guy, not wearing a shirt on stage? Does he really think his "fat dad" body is attractive? I just don't get it. I'm 68 this year, So I'm not nearly in as good shape as I once was, When I was younger and in school, I didn't play sports as a general rule. But I grew up on a farm, And my Dad ran a pretty big firewood business. So from a relatively young age, Starting at around 12 to 14 years old, Hard, Physical labor was pretty much the rule of the day. And if you lasted long enough, Which my two brothers and I did, Not by personal choice most of the time. lol. But that's just the way it was back then. You worked because it was the family business and we all had to eat. You just naturally got stronger as time went by. Swinging a 12 pound splitting maul and loading firewood into dumptrucks by hand will put some meat on your bones after a while. That life style usually carried with it the necessity of being in pretty good physical shape. And if you weren't in shape, As I witnessed with some of the guys my Dad hired from time to time, You would be after a while, if you lasted long enough and hung in there. That is, If you didn't puss out and just quit, Which a lot of them did over the years. A lot of those so called "Grown Men", Weren't nearly as "Grown" as they thought they were. I guess some guys are just allergic to work. lol The bottom line is that growing up that way, We never had to "Work Out", To be fit. We just worked. I used to be pretty fit, Strong, and relatively muscular for my frame. There was a time in my younger days when I was in pretty darn good shape, And I was relatively proud of what my body looked like, Not to the point of purposely just strutting around without a shirt like some of the "Town Boys" did when we went to the lake or the coast. I wouldn't walk around with my shirt off just to be doing that, But I wasn't ashamed of my body either. I was never self-conscious about taking my shirt off in front of the girls to go swimming or whatever. The point I'm trying to make is, Although I didn't intend for it to take this long is, If I was this guy, With the body he has, I sure as hell wouldn't be strutting around stage without a shirt on. It just makes him look ridiculous. I just don't get it.
