As man with a teenaged daughter this is what I tell her: YOU (the woman) have to take more measures to prevent pregnancy. Why? Because YOU get pregnant. He doesn't. Your body is at risk. His isn't. Your body changes, his doesn't. And generally, if the relationship doesn't work out YOU end up as the primary parent. Both of you may be equally irresponsible by creating the child. But the majority of the weight will fall on your shoulders. So act accordingly. So as a young woman you don't have the luxury of depending on him prevent pregnancy. You don't have the luxury of trusting that he will be an active father. So make him show you something that proves he's really ready. Here is where I would write the "M" word. But that world triggers people.

Yall need to learn how to read. The woman isn't saying that she regrets getting pregnant. What she's saying is that if the MAN doesn't want a child then he needs to make sure he's taking preventative measures. He can't get mad at the woman if she decides to keep the child. So many men want to have raw sex but complain about the repercussions. Thats like speeding on the highway and getting mad when you get a ticket. As usual, Shuler NAILS it. My mother and I had this conversation many times. My position is: a woman has a greater responsibility to prevent unwanted pregnancy because 99% of the time, the child will primarily be raised by her. My mother's famous reply was "It takes two to get those babies, but when the deal goes down...that's YOUR (the woman) baby." Mom also used to say she didn't understand why there are soooo many children without their fathers in their lives. My response would be "because the fathers often didn't have a relationship with the mothers, so they felt no responsibility to a child that resulted from a hook up or botty call." And on abortions, NO ONE ever mentions pregnancy PREVENTION 🤔!! UGGH OK, Im done.

In the sense of what is legally allowed, they're right in terms of being "trapped." There is no way for a man to legally absolve himself from responsibility to a child. If abortion is legal, then a man should be able to financially abort during the same amount of time a woman can have an abortion.
