I was born in 03 and I got a lot of my music from my mom. She raised me on Bush, AIC Nirvana, Deftones, Linkin Park, Soundgarden, etc. Then when I got into highschool, the weights teacher got me into Breaking Benjamin, Slipknot, Metallica, and even more into AIC. I got to see them in Council Bluffs in August and it was such a great experience. It will probably always be my favorite concert.

Give clout to Bush? Bush has been around making records for almost as long as AIC has. I mean... Bush sold like, what, 7 million copies of Sixteen Stone and had five hit tracks on that record alone? These bands are literally contemporaries from the same era. Two of only a few bands from their era that are still making records and still touring arenas and stadiums around the world. And, if you never would have imagined Cantrell playing with Bush, then you don't know Jerry very well. He's definitely not one of those elitist pricks. He probably remembers what it was like having his band being treated like shit on the Clash of the Titans tour, and then being treated like a human being by Eddie Van Halen. Jerry obviously chose to learn from EVH on how to treat other bands he's on the same bill with.
@rawkguy4896
@rawkguy4896 Жыл бұрын
@@BluesDeville Exactly, Jerry is friends with almost everyone from that era. Played with everyone from Metallica to Nickelback. When I saw Bush live in Atlantic City two years ago, they closed the show with this song. During an "extended chorus", Rossdale made his way out into the crowd to back of the venue, then continued to sing as he worked his way back through towards the stage. As he passed right by me, I stretched out my hand, Gavin grabbed and shook it! Awesome show and awesome memory!! 🤘

One of the Great off and overlooked bands of the 90s. Also a vocalist with a extremely unique voice that stayed within his limitations and didn't blow it out in the studio and have to recreate it every night and can still do it. Also phenomenal songs that 16 Stone album was truly incredible. Nothing he writes is bad in my opinion. Bush was a great band and it was a awesomely produced album. It just sounded good, PERIOD!

I agree. They did not get the respect they deserved, mainly because they came up as grunge was coming down, even though their music isn't really what I'd class as "grunge." I think it was mostly just bad timing. Razorblade Suitcase, The Science of Things, and even Golden State all had really well-written and well-produced tracks that I still enjoy to this day, and Gavin Rossdale's voice is among the best-suited rock voices, IMHO!
