Thank you. That point about how comedy is a form of media and thus subject to the same scrutiny that other media gets was really good. Subbed

Great video! I look forward to seeing even more content from this channel in the future. Also, I appreciate both that you include links to related videos and the humorous titles you give them.

His video on "believing the victim" is also hot garbage.

You make really good points dude. This gives me back my hope on KZbin creators. Keep up with this quality content. An advice: you could maybe try using more videos, titles, or pictures, alongside your voice. Anyway, they are still awesome.

Great video! I've been thinking about this criticism of criticism a lot and you put it into words very well.

Just like he confuses criticism of Louis CK for persecution, he and his fans will confuse this video for some kind of persecution. Check out his video on Kurzgesagt to see a major lack of self-awareness and persecution complex. Or his "Tragedy of John Stuart" to see some lazy reasoning.

I’d like to be somewhat optimistic about it, if they even become aware of this video at all, but I take the point.

certain comedians really really *love* purporting their comedy be this daring, boundary pushing art just up to the point where you properly place their material into context and then it's all "i was joking i was joking nobody can take a joke anymore sheesh" and they fucking suck. punching down is NOT boundary pushing, it's bootlicking to the lowest, most prejudiced denominator

Good stuff. There's a moment in the "Oh Hello! On broadway" show where Nick Kroll gets away with saying the n word that i think is a good example. He basically puts it in the mouth of a fictional neighbor kid and refers to himself saying "that cream of wheat n* got a tv show!" It almost didnt even register the first time i saw the show, but im white so who knows

Great work, Icon, and great to meet you. I'm a comedian myself, and describe my work as "Dick jokes for justice!" Let me know if I can help with any of your projects.
