A vegetable is another word for someone who is completely unresponsive and unaware. Whereas a coma is when someone is unconscious and doesn't react to stimuli (and cannot be woken), think of a vegetable (medical term a 'vegetative state') as one step worse than a coma. When someone is in a vegetative state, they are (fairly rudely) referred to as a vegetable. The cerebral hemispheres of their brain are so damaged that they are completely unresponsive in every single way - but there is sufficiently enough of their brain stem left over to still qualify as 'alive'. You know, as a amateur stand-up comedian here in Puerto Rico (going on 2 and a half years now) a buddy of mine from the scene told me about this game and I have to admit I got excited when I heard about it (a lot of us from the local comedy scene here are gamers).
