A Tribute to Carl Weathers: Best Moments from Happy Gilmore | Comedy Bites Vintage

To honour Carl Weathers' tragic death, we put together some of our favourite moments from his iconic role in Happy Gilmore.
Carl Weathers, the Rocky franchise's Apollo Creed and star of films including Predator and Happy Gilmour has died aged 76. He died in his sleep at his Los Angeles home on Thursday (1 February), his manager, Matt Luber, confirmed on Friday (2 February).
What is Happy Gilmore about?
Happy Gilmore is a 1996 American sports comedy film directed by Dennis Dugan and produced by Robert Simonds. It stars Adam Sandler as the title character, an unsuccessful ice hockey player who discovers a newfound talent for golf. When Happy learns that his grandmother is going to lose her house, he decides to enter the golf tournament to win the prize money to save her home. The film also stars Modern Family's Julie Bowen, Christopher Macdonald and Carl Weathers.

It was Adam Sandler's idea to make him have one hand in this movie. He spun a yarn in his head where Dillon actually survived his predator encounter, came back to the US, changed his identity and made up a fake story of how he lost his hand lol. RIP Carl Weathers, loved every movie you were in.
