Interesting take. Asante women are much more stronger than the men in so many way, but they understand the need for and essence of a dedicated man to help stabilize the family unit. If Nana Yaa Asantewaa had not stood up at that time, other Queenmothers probably would have. The women have always propped up the men.

I strongly disagree... which other Queenmothers do you speak of? Yaa Asantewaa was a warrior Queenmother. An anomaly at that time. Hence, her legendary status because she did what even the men couldn't

Wtf.😂😂😂😂 please stop twisting facts. Women are revered in the Ashanti tribe as is matrilinial but stop capping. Women can never be stronger than men. Stop the exagerration 😂

Ghana is the real like Wakanda read some history. Ashanti descendants in Jamaica and Suriname started revolutions in South America and Caribbean and Marcus Garvey was a Jamaican of Ashanti Ghanaian descent. The thing about the Ashantis is they are proud and stand up and fight. And they were the African tribe who invented concept of Black Power at the start of colonialism

Upon refusing to give up the golden stool, now the British furiated brought down their army they looted and distroyed the Astanti capital, burning down the city and the kings palace... They arrested the king and murdered all the elders after the Battle , for refusing to disclose the location of the stool... All this after they welcomed them into their kingdom. The men where afraid because , now their king was arrested striped of his titles and taken oversea.... This was when Yaa Asantiwaa stepped in. Only after the British stated murdering random people and demanding for the GOLDEN Stool. In the end she killed and distroyed the British army , now seizeing their castle among other stuff... ...And this story only gets interesting for here.

Point of Correction, nobody sits on the Golden stool, not even the King himself. as a matter of fact the stool has its own throne and sits beside the King! thats why it was such an insult for him to say he wanted to sit on the stool.

Interestingly, it turns out you *can* be critical of a country whilst also coming from and (in some ways) benefiting from said country. Don't worry though mate, you'll learn all about it by the time you reach primary school. Just give it time 💙
