im not so sure about that, i think it actually can be the definition of narcissistic. Those type of ppl arent clueless nor do they care if you actually love them but they DO care that u show or act like you love them and that you're great. Narcissist dont care about others loving them, they love themselves enough to make up for it. And even another aspect of narcissim that can be at play in acting like that is manipulation. As a Real Estate agent, other agents will rather lose money than work with someone they hate or have had terrible experiences with. Recently, I ran into a duo who refused to work with an agent because the agents clients were using a lending company they hated. They won't openly tell that to their clients, but will persuade their clients with any bs just to spite someone. As long as you word things a certain way and fulfill the clients expectations, you're okay legally speaking cause technically you worked in good faith and it's not like the client knows the actual reason. I imagine the entertainment industry is probably even worse, so if petty stuff like that happens in Real Estate then I'm sure something as petty as a thermostat dispute can get in the way of Bert and Bobby working with each other.

Just as a side note, feeling like everyone hates you for minor things or things that “normal” people don’t worry about isn’t just a narssasist thing but part of a bunch of different trauma disorders. i’m going to school to be a psychologist right now and what you said is correct. not only children of narcissistic parents, but personality disorders as a whole. some get a very very bad stigma but in reality, that individual is just doing what they can to survive and this usually comes in the form of taking advantage and putting others down. they aren’t knowingly doing it, it’s a survival technique.

Agreed, narcissism is not the same as insecurities. Kreischer definitely displays features of insecurity rather than narcissism. It seems narcissism is misunderstood and subsequently over-applied toward anyone who display even slight levels of insecurity, selfishness, anger, or any generally unpleasant emotion. Narcissism is an extreme level personality trait which, in reality, is far less prevalent among the population than it is applied by armchair psychologists aka podcasters. Seems to be yet another example of contemporary culture identifying in extremes terms when analyzing any and everything.

It would be true however that it's unlikely for either version to admit to any insecurities they have. I would argue he has more of an anxiety based disorder which can appear as narcissistic disorder because of the constant neuroticism and dwelling on yourself. It would explain a lot about his personality to me.

I feel like this is true. Key word 'feel.' 1st of all, people in general are petty enough to risk their livelihoods and clientele over petty squabbles like thermostat temperature. 2nd, the way the other hosts seem to know of this beef shows that they are in the loop, and Bert not being in the loop is classic Bert. Sure, they could've colluded beforehand, but did they know this topic would be brought up? Or are they just going along with Bobby's claims of beef? I don't think so. Khalyla and Gilbert seem very sure about the situation. In any field, practice, career, etc., There are people who just will not work with each other, even if it's at the expense of others, and even if it jeopardizes their reputation. So it wouldn't surprise me if it was true in this case. Most people are only professional when they have to be, and sometimes not even then.

When Bert was at the height of his success(around 2018ish) he would organize BBQs at his home routinely and invite all the LA comics(both big and small) except Bobby, heck he even had Brendan Schaub there too. It would occasionally be brought up by Guests in Tigerbelly why Bobby wasnt there and bobby would say he wasn’t invited. So finally Bobby half joking addressed the situation (i think at the comedy store) and Bert promised Bobby he would invite him at the next BBQ. So one day Tom Segura called bobby on his phone and said “Hey bobby, were all at Berts house for the bbq, when are u arriving?” or something like that, and Bobby was oblivious as he wasnt invited again. So Tom handed the phone over to Bert and bert’s reply was “there are no asians here” and started laughing. That kinda shows u the nature of Bert

I personally think that Bobby has learned a lot from the Shaub Callen situation. He knows that being too close to people who are so different than him will eventually cause major problems and he doesn't want to do that again. Bobby knows he wouldn't like being on tour with Bert because Bert will try to force him to do things he absolutely doesn't want to do and how Bert loses his temper when things don't go his way. It's easier for Bobby to keep his distance and live his life under his own terms instead of possibly burning bridges.
