All through NWA early songs they always referred to Eazy as the criminal of the ruthless posse and Dre,Cube,Ren etc were just his cool homies that rhymed about and with him and being 18-19 in their hey day I was a fan of their music but I never thought of them as gangsters just guys like myself that grew up in an harsh environment and write rhymes about their surroundings and cube never claim to bang he only ever claim HardRhymer.

@@cymonecarter9704 Nah bruh. I use to say that in the 90's and 00's too, I'm tired of running with that lie. I literally saw with my own two eyes, cats go from dancing in high top fades, silk button downs and dress pants - to starter jackets baggy jeans and talking about killing and selling dope, and it was the music and the videos. And you did too if you're old enough to remember. Like i said, one day we'll have this discussion as a culture.

@@truewilliams7118 they killing ppl, and selling dope in those silk button downs, and dress pants. That's the point they was doing it in the neighborhoods, before it was cool to rap about. There was a lot of street sh*t going on but there was also a lot of heathcliff huxtable and Midnight Starr stuff going on too, folks serious about education and being respectful. That's how it was in my house and we lived in the hood! It wasn't until about 91'-92 when everything started to shift toward EVERYBODY wanting to be thug/street. Agreed. They never came off as if they were trying to be all the things they were rapping about. Neither did the Ghetto Boyz. NWA even compared themselves to CNN... reporting what they saw. The silly mentality of actually being the persona you rap about is a next generation idea that didn't exist back then.

Alonzo seemed like he was bitter of their success. They made it big and he was at the bottom of the totem pole. From the way I was seeing it depicted in Straight Outta Compton, he seemed very jealous of what they were doing and in these interviews, he seems like he has some animosity and jealousy.

Yep the DOC used to wear cashmere & drive a Maserati because he was very popular in the south then but told me he had to change his image to look gang bangerish like them. Dre had a good sense of humor so I'm shocked he's abusive, Oshea was very nice & married a woman who looks just like my friend he wanted to get with but she was afraid he lived the life he portrayed tho he didn't. The type of "Gangsta" they pushed was from no one who's brain that was fully-developed, but given deals by music-figures who's brain was. For their ages, they did what they was assigned to do. How many Costra Nostra or Colombian drug traffickers back in the day were making music trying to be musicians? Zero, none because they stuck to what they did, being criminals.. Did anybody actually think NWA were actually in gangs or in the streets heavy? No one in the streets, or in a gang(whether street or organized) has the time, dedication or passion to be recording music day in and day out.. NWA were what they were, hood guys who lived around gangs and banging and told the stories of what was around them and what they saw(some directly happening to them, like police brutality)... But they were just first hand spectators to the life, never in it... The people in it for real are either pushing up daisies or serving long stretches in the pen...

Bra nobody cares what he thinks, he missed the boat and never got over it, he feels like he has something to prove, he was successful and thought he had the upper hand and no one else was gonna be shit and he bet wrong. He’s hateful, spiteful and angry. Many people has said Easy and Ren was the gangsters, yellow was a ladies man, Cube the young talent and Dre the Music. And they themselves never said different. So what’s the problem here? He’s the problem, his own problem with a point of view to challenge that of a super group who left him behind . Cheers 🥂 get over it. Here’s your 6ix minutes of fame 🎉
