No matter what Dame EVER say 10 months after this Breakfast Club interview I was a small business owner and I have NEVER had a job again...No I'm not wealthy but I'm OK but to not have to ask smbdy what time I can go to lunch or put in a notice when I'm going on Vacation is PRICELESS....Everything anyone says may not be for you but you can take the part that's relatable to you and use it to your benefit...Thx Dame bc before you I was living for my FIRST name not my LAST...Peace Brother

Dame gives the best gems when he feels his intelligence is being insulted. I say that because he checks people in a respectful way, and takes the time to explain exactly why he feels that way. The things that he said need to be heard by the masses. Kids need to understand that this is how a man should move. Don't engage in the catty nonsense. Stay solid and true to who you are, without downing the next man.

Great interview. It shows his growth in wisdom over his years, not being afraid to fight for your dreams and doing whatever you need to do to protect them, while staying in alignment with your values. I appreciate him saying our negative examples of our culture hurt us. There is enough of that. More positive interviews like this with Black free thinking people would be great for everyone. I think you have to search and search for them or come across them by chance like this one. I don't follow Hip Hop like that but, I know who Dame Dash is and the title caught my attention. I appreciate you being candid too and I especially liked how aware Dame was when there were some questionable questions and skipped them. Thanks for keeping those parts in the video, I think that shows integrity. Good luck! Thank you for putting content out.

Dame has always been an uncommon, relatively standup guy: too bad there are still people who miss the point entirely about the most well-known part of his journey, talking like he’s a loser because he’s not “up there with Jay” in terms of the dollar amount a ytsprmcst-owned media TELLS US he has. Too many grown people cannot or will not think past the alleged billion Jay was GIVEN, allegedly, too many think of and talk about Dame like he’s another Rapper Jay had beef with instead of as an entrepreneur and businessman of equal or better intelligence as his yt counterparts, which Black Americans have a really big problem idolizing; too many talk like Kanye didn’t beat Jay in the Billy Game more than six times over; too many talk Iike ANY OF THEM just have that amount sitting around in an account and don’t understand assets and a contractual concept called Specific Performance. All money is, indeed, NOT good money. Too many grown ass people still equate a perceived larger amount of money with superior money skills, business skills, moral alignment, maturity, and sophistication; too many think that a larger amount of money means God has or just yts or anyone not Black (who, to their way of thinking, are the ultimate symbol of God’s approval) have approved of you and blessed you. The derogatory and shaming comments toward and/or about Damon Dash reveal just how appallingly stupid some people really are. And, granted, Dame’s stock has gone up in the past few years as more people realize that the hero worship of people with “The Billy” get us nowhere as a global human community and especially as an African-American community.

This shows alot of growth from someone that help tear down & build- up the African American culture- from bad parenting, financial illiteracy, to making bad deals, and cultivating unhealthy relationships, to fights & not taming his tongue and ruining relationships- To now want to take his time to water and grow new relationships ... Evolution of Man is Yeshua, rather he acknowledges or not- You are operating in a enlighten form of consciousness and will yield a plentiful harvest... Salute
