I have a Farberware portable dishwasher and it is fantastic. I can get a 4 place setting in it along woth at least 4 cups and 12 or so cutlery plus a couple small plastic bowls. I cut the detergent pod in half (Cascade Platinum) and dishes are clean ,smell fresh with no spots every time. Mine does not dry so i just leave the door open at the end to air dry dishes and air out the unit. It has a quick wash setting in 40 minutes and a longer 2 hour regular setting plus fruit clean and glasses only setting which are great. I have only uses the quick wash cycle and dishes are always very clean as the unit heats up very hot and the Cascade Platinum makes a big difference. 4 years and no issues. I would recommend a portable dishwasher for any household that has at least a sink full of dishes to do after each meal. Pots and pans do not fit but once i straighten up the kitchen and wash a couple pans and pots all my dishes are done.
@doloresleyva88107 ай бұрын
Thr quick wash settings work faster and just the same as normal or longer settings. So you dont have to run the unit for 2 hours. Get a Tupperware that is the long tall shape (like for cereal) and you can fill the unit faster. In addition i sometines load mine again if i have lots of dishes. I can load up a full sink of dishes every time and I cut the tab in half (works fine and saves money I suggest Cascade Platinum) Once i clean up the few pots and pans after the meal and straighten up the kitchen and table and sweep up my dishes are all done.

I love mine! I wish I’d gotten one years ago. I have been thinking about it since the start of this year. Did all my research. I dithered about for like 8 months. Then a month ago I decided I was going to get one, talked myself into it then quickly talked myself out. Then one day I went to the kitchen, there was a big pile of dishes in the sink and I just said nope not doing this anymore and ordered one. Couldn’t be without it now.

I’ve had mine over a year and it still washes well but I now get a E4 error code and I have to tip it over and let the water drain out the bottom. Also I had to switch to cascade liquid because the tabs were giving so much soap that it started to gunk up little particles and hard water buildup I guess. But as long as you give it a good through cleaning I use vinegar it it’s a lasting purchase. My biggest shock is my light still works too lol 😂

How often would you say it needs cleaning? Going to be buying ours soon for our rv. It's going to go in the place of where the stove is. We don't use the oven/stove bc we reserve our lpg for heating purposes only. So the stove is getting removed and sold and replaced by this lifesaver of a gadget

I read that if you use it twice a day clean the filters at least once a month. I just started rinsing the dishes off because my parents dishwasher was much more high end so you don’t really have to pre rinse. This one requires a little more TLC
@ondiney2 жыл бұрын
@@RayOfSunhine2012 I really only need to clean the inside edges every couple of weeks when gunk builds up. I think if you scrape off or rinse your plates and such pretty well before you put them in, that helps a lot. I haven't had to run a full-on cleaning cycle with a dishwasher cleaning product yet. I take out the filter every couple of months and rinse it off and make sure it's pretty clean. Honestly I don't have to do a lot of cleaning maintenance on it! Just mainly fats buildup on the edge of where the door hinges open on the front.

Hello, instructions mention an emptying bucket? Do I need to hook a hose up to drain or just plug in and fill with water? My cabinets hang too low so can’t put next to my sink like originally planned. I have to set it on its own table, so I definitely do not want a flood in my kitchen, please help! Also thank you for the video, very informational!
@ondiney Жыл бұрын
Hi! You just have to figure out where you want the waste water (water left after cleaning your dishes) to go. If you can't put the hose into the sink, you would want a bucket for it to drain into and then you'd have to empty that bucket regularly. I just have mine sitting next to my sink so it can drain into the sink, but sounds like that might not work with your setup, so you might need to place the hose into a bucket. (It's not a ton of water but it will make a mess if you don't divert it somewhere!) You don't need to hook a hose up to fill it, but do need to hook a hose up to drain it. You can fill it with water by just filling up a container of water and pouring it into the water inlet near the back top of the dishwasher. I hope this all makes sense--once you get it set up and run it once or twice, I think you'll see what I'm talking about. It's such a great little device--I hope you love it!
@shelbyelliott3148 Жыл бұрын
Ok got it! Thank you so much! Could you do a video on how to properly drain it after the cycle is completed? If not all good I appreciate the feedback!
@ondiney Жыл бұрын
@@shelbyelliott3148 Happy New Year! I can't really because mine is set up to drain into the sink, so all you would see is water come out the hose, haha :) Wouldn't be much use to you I think! Should be pretty easy to set it up though if you use the directions, and then draining happens automatically (the dishwasher does it when it reaches that part of the cycle) so you just need to empty your bucket is all. On mine, I don't empty a bucket because it empties into the sink. On yours, you'll put the hose in the bucket and then just toss the contents of the bucket.

Does it use all the water for each wash?
@ondiney5 ай бұрын
It does! There's nothing to drain afterwards--it flushes the used water into the sink, if you're using that, or into a bucket if you've chosen to use a bucket instead. So by the time the cleaning cycle is done, all the water you put in has drained away.
@montavis22 жыл бұрын
just tested mine out they dont really come out dry. i thought it was suppossed to have heat dry function.
@ondiney2 жыл бұрын
It does have a heated dry function. You might have to check that yours is working. Alternatively, you might have to dial back your expectations for heated dry. Even in a large/full-size washer with heated dry, some things will still come out wet. I find anything plastic is the worst for still being somewhat wet after washing, and ceramic and porcelain dry off the best.
@viloelisabethwestwood68582 жыл бұрын
How high is the unit? I'm getting conflicting answers on Amazon. Also, how long does the shorter cycle last? And does it do a heat drying at the end of the cycle?
@ondiney2 жыл бұрын
It is about 18 inches high for me measuring with a tape measure. The short cycle is about 45 minutes but I find it doesn't clean everything off well enough, and there's no heated dry at the end of that cycle. So I just use the longer cycle that has a heated dry and that works perfectly for me.

@ondiney2 жыл бұрын
There is an outlet tube, a plastic tube, that connects to the back of the dishwasher that you can just point toward your sink and the water will drain down the sink. It's not a ton of water. I keep mine just always in a corner of my sink and any time I run the dishwasher, when it's ready to drain the water, it just dispenses the water down the drain. Very convenient!
