I bought the smaller Comfort Zone heater about 3 years ago for my garage at my local TSC store and it's been doing a fine job. I keep it on the low 3k setting and fan on low to keep it around 40° for dampness control. I can turn it on Hi and up to 60° in about 15-20 minutes when needed. I have mine hard wired to my service panel 30Amp. 2 stall, 8' ceiling height. Thanks for this video. If I ever experience any issues with my unit I'll check out the larger one.

Added this one to my 2 1/2 stall attached 10' ceiling. It is a well insulated garage which rarely got down to freezing as, we live in NE Iowa. I was disappointed by 2 things. 1 that I couldn't set it at 40 degrees and that it couldn't have an external thermastat, but I am surprised how well it actually works. I'll check back later, but as of now, good bang for the buck!

A external thermastat would be nice. I do wish you could set it to less than 45 degrees as well, But I am not really sure how accurate the digital thermostat really is on it. I have been using mine a lot And it has been working very well. I wish I would have put one in 10 years ago. Glad you like yours.

Thanks for posting this video. I have high ceilings as well. It seems it’s key to run a fan to circulate the air.

I think a fan will help a lot with the tall celings. I am definatly going to put one up.

Thanks, just ordered. I had the choice for a black unit, seems exactly the same, for 79 bucks. Can't really go wrong with that!

I used mine all last year and already quit a bit this year. I am still very happy with it. I think you will like it. I wish I would have got one of these years ago.

With the digital will it remember where it was set and power back up after a power outage or just a simple unplug?
@steiger2562 ай бұрын
@@builditright4666 I just checked mine. Once unpluged or if you cut power and plug it back in it just shuts off and when power is restored it does not restart. The light above power lights up, But you have to turn it back on. If you need it for heat when you are gone the manual unit may be a better choice.

Is there a mode to keep it running continuously? I purchased one but it turns off after it reaches the temperature setting even when I set the timer.
@steiger256 Жыл бұрын
I dont think so. The only thing you could do is just set it to the highest tempeture and let it go, But it will shut off when it reaches that temp tho.
@mattp99323 жыл бұрын
got mine in. the ceilings are high so it does take awhile. I did put a box fan pointed up to move the air lower. Anyways. The frustrating part is that the temp sensor is in the unit. So that renders the thermostat worthless. Have you relocated yours?
@steiger2563 жыл бұрын
No I have not. I have thought of moving the thermostat outside of the unit, But so far it has no been a big problem unless I would want it really warm. I am going to wait until I install a celing fan to see how that helps.

How fast should the fan spin on the CZ23OER
@steiger2562 жыл бұрын
Mine spins at a medium speed. It does not spin super fast.

Great vid…. Did you say 40 amp… what a beast of a heater… how many amps you got going out to the shop? What do u heat your home with?
@steiger2563 жыл бұрын
I was only able to run 100 amp to shop due to the length of wire I had to run. With LED shop lights I should be fine as long as I dont use a welder and and other heavy loads at same time. I have a geothermal unit for the house.

I bought this heater… used it for a few months last year. Turned it on this year. Thermostat reads 95 degrees in a 65 degree attic. No way to find parts for it. It worked really good last year, but is crap

Thats the bad thing with electronc display. Sometimes simple is better I guess. Mine so far has been working really well. You may want to search online to see if there is a way to maybe reset it.

I want to add this into our mud room 12’x12’x8’tall , & a huge entry into the rest of the house , I want to add it to assist our mini-splits in the rest of the house during winter for those rare but cold Texas winters

This would have no problem heating a 12x12 room.

Can I wore my own thermostat to this heater

I do not think you could. I do not think it would work well. This model has one built in

Does the heater turn off after 12 hours or can you set it at say 60 degrees and leave it on for weeks and it maintain the temperature? The description online isn’t very clear if it automatically turns off every 12 hours or if you have the option to set it between 1-12 hours. I had planned to use it in a shop where I have to have consistent heat, can’t have it dropping down to winter temps and then only being warm when I’m there. Will be days where I’m not there.
@steiger2562 жыл бұрын
I just looked at the manual that came with it. It says you can set it to a desired temperature and it will maintain that temp. It says you can set the timer function for 1 to 12 hours. Set timer to 0 to turn it off. It should maintain temp with it turned off. It does say not to leave heater on unattentded tho below the timer setting section. Hope this helps.

Wired mine appropriately and switched out to a 240…the fan does not run
@steiger2563 жыл бұрын
Not sure what that could be. Possably a loose wire to the fan or maybe a bad circuit board.
