FYI, IMHO, most "collectors" and "speculators" by the end of 1983 were bagging and boarding their comic book shop bought comics. This is especially important to note, particular said bagged and boarded comic shop comics were frequently "doubles". Spec vocab taking over the weekly shops collector's consciousness, purchasing two copies of assumed "key" comic books became this new phenomenon as a "comic book collector", while local news stations continuously release these never seen before stories about collectable comic book sales. Thus, tha "hype", thus tha FOMO, yet none of the shops I visited every promoted indie comics, they were often next to the "adults only" area lol! is what it is for my personal experience in high school with a new driver's license. wow, I loved this video so much I watched it over 200 times. Hey, I agree with you about comic convolution, man, is that a drag! Too bad Stan The Man pushed the marriage as law and kinda pushed Uncle Rog out of ASM. Kingsley was the plan from the beginning, but Stern never got to really tell that story properly. When Stern came back to it in that 3 parter mini, it was at the end of the Clone Saga which didn't make much sense either. I remember not being about to read that, either, when I tried coming back to comics. I did come back in the late 90s sometime when Jurgens and JRjr were doing that great Thor run, and Waid and Garney on Cap. Those were the two titles I read until I dropped out again, then came back after I heard they killed Cap in 2005 or something. (Wait! I loved Morrison's JLA in the nineties, too.) Can't believe all the wasted time and money that I have invested in Marvel since then. Nothing really matters, although there have been some good runs here and there. Hey, I appreciate the 411 tips on Alpha F, and I'm recollecting that stuff. I get it now, about the newsstand collecting, too. And I have that New X-Men run and remembering reading it more than once. Anyway, I think I'll have dancing girls in my videos, too, it should help, right? hahahaha, just kidding. I very much enjoyed this video, SG. Glad you still make comic videos once in a while. Later.

Hey, man, what up!?! You watched it two hundy times lol! thats funny man! Thanks for the Spider-Man 411! I think Zoolander fukn stole from the Hobgoblin stories, know im sayn, wtf now! lol! Yeah it is amazing how the narrative is like no one mainstream is 'allowed' to cut down former-Marvel, or they wont for fear someone at y0u+ube will shut them down for being "anti-liberal" or sum fukn b.s. -from Very Gary to Bird CIty seeminglyt owning Lords of the Longbox, and most those Top Ten channels that depend on covrprice will never cut down Disney or former-Marvel, they never say anything about how people stopped buying those fukn stupid comics. Glad we are on the same page generally with that Marvel tip, they suck soo bad, those bitxz... LOL!!

i remember really enjoying reading The Thing comics back then. it was just fun like watching a good episode of a superhero cartoon. pretty much Thing vs a villain of the month, and Thing was written to be a lovable brute down to earth type of guy that just seemed to have bad luck. it's too bad my man John Paul Leon didn't get to do more issues on that X-Men run. love Steve Rude"s art but the only Nexus i've read was issue 1 of Alien Justice and i just wasn't feeling it. the Image Copra series was pretty good and i was really pumped up for the 2nd storyarc and then it was gone from Image. i'd really like to read the old self published stuff.

You are correct, I was not into the Nexus comic, it was okay -I med Mike Baron at the Rocky Mtn Con recently that hosted Steranko, yo Baron, he fukn tried to take my place in line while I was obviously stepping away for a min to get a better shot w/my ph of Steranko, then Baron is walking behind the table like he was invited and all trying to get his picture w/Steranko and Jim Steranko was like "nope, sorry, you cannot have a picture with me, I dont do photos, no exceptions sorry" -I was like fuk yeah Steranko is tha sh!t, no b.s. w/that cat! Yeah The Thing should of had that UWCF part made into some animated movie or something, Thing as a wrestler lol! that would match the wrestling trend that is popular lately. -hey! Thing versus Averno and Atlantis!! I'd pay to see that! lol! No doubt about John Paul Leon, thanks to checking our your channel that artist has been brought into my light. -YO!HEY!!MAN!! did you have a a not-safe Halloween and Devil's Night -I hope so!!

As always very introspective brah - your thoughts and insights are much appreciated. Digging that Venom the Enemy Within newsstand - hope to find a high grade myself. Man every time you go into a discourse on Alpha Flight brings back good days when I was reading it. Man they did such a good job of integrating the reader with Heather Hudson's journey to becoming Vindicator. If I'm being honest Alpha Flight did a really good job of connecting the reader to the characters and the overall story arcs - shout out to John Byrne. Lol on that Spirits of the Tao! you know I have come across that a time or two when looking for cover art online. Man that pencil work screams the 90's lol - gooood stuff my brotha. As always keep doing you... Oh yea been meaning to say something about your recent post, but I keep forgetting when I get caught up on rant - really diggin' the animations you been adding to your vids lately lol! Such good memories for myself as well, so I do not think the title was failing when Byrne killed off Hudson, -but your astute assessment of how Byrne conveyed these characters, how he presented the plot threads, fukn outstanding, rite on. It was some dope sh!t huh lol - you should do what I do when I think it is going to be a long one... before pressing the reply to send comments I highlight everything and save it to note pad just in case, because that sh@t has happened to me on many occasions lol.👍 Well I know things have been difficult where you are (I know a brotha wants to get back to Michigan), but my thing is so long as I can keep money in my pocket sh!t will eventually turn around. One of my favorite rules of life to live by is... I always prefer to deal with the hard things in life first because I kno' the easy is always around corner. You got to put that yin yang thing in full effect when traversing the many twist and turns mind (notice strong emphasis on mind) throws at you in life. Lol dawg check it... contemplating the riddle of no self starts with the understanding nothing (no thing!) is not the opposite of being... thus there is nothing to let go of, but if you have something (here is where the confusion lies - with the idea of something... nothing comes into being) then the duality exists for that something to be lost, dropped, and/or thrown away. Trapped in the illusion of matter ie the physical polarities of reality... life can seem good or it can seem bad... depending on the day, the time, the weather, the season, and even the company we keep. However if truth is what you seek... ask yourself how is it possible for being (something and nothing 2 sides of the same coin) to come out of no ---------------------} thing! Understanding that leads to the path of true realization of no self. Stay up playa!✌
