I just bought the set. Looked for a tutorial video on how to use them, and yours was the first one that came up. Loved how detail you were with everything, because I missed a few steps in syncing the device. THANK YOU!! YOU ARE THE MAN!!

Thanks, Samuel!! I'm really digging this kit. It comes with so much! Comica also sent me the BoomX-D2 PRO (It's an updated model of the BoomX-D2). I showed it in the size comparison at the end, but I'll have more details on that one soon too!

Cool clip, the way you showcased, demoed/reviewed and explained all! I have the same kit, and looking to use for 3-4 people (interview). In editing, looking to have each one separate. I see the XLR adaptor(?). Is that what I would need to purchase? Aren't there stationary box-types? Is the one you have best to have channels separate before editing? Appreciate any advice. Thanks.

I'm a newbie when it comes to audio. How can I get the audio from the receiver to a PC for editing? Does the data go to a SD card? Maybe I can plug the receiver into a USB slot on my PC? My use case is for playing cards or board games with friends in the same room, using a webcam to record the video. All I see in this video regarding audio is connected to some fancy camera. Their site says "Widely compatible with cameras, camcorders, recorders, mobile devices and PC devices", so it implies that I can use with PC but I don't see how. Please help me with my research. 😭

Great video. Wish there was onboard recording for the transmitters. I think I would need two of those 3.5mm to XLR cables to feed the four descrite channels to my Zoom H6. Thanks
@RayValencia2 жыл бұрын
Thanks, Anthony. I wish it had backup recording too, but maybe that's something Comica will make in the future. You would need 2 of those cables if you want to split to 4 XLR ports. I have a video on their Recording Mics, although they only have 2 transmitters and 2 lavaliers (instead of 4). They are much smaller though! kzbin.info/www/bejne/nnbWe3hsasuihq8

Wow, man! This is amazing! So it should work with Sony's XLR-K3M perfectly with my A7SIII! This is a perfect and compact way of making a podcast setup with 4 people while keeping each channel separate! And I mean recorded podcast not live just in case something needs editing or so. So far been fine with the DJI Mic as I didn't need more than 1-2.

This could definitely work for that!

Do 2 channels have to go on XLR and 2 on the 3.5 or can you just do 2 3.5 cables?

Hey man, thanks for the review and for showing us how to do the multiple-tracks-output part. I just have a question though - will it be possible to replicate the outputting-to-4-separate-tracks part using a Zoom H5?
@RayValencia6 ай бұрын
For sure thanks for checking it out. I think you should be fine as long as you can separate all your channels out, which may require an extra cable. I use a Comica 3.5mm to XLR splitter, which gets you a Left/Right XLR output of the Receiver output port: geni.us/Comica_XLRsplitter

I feel attracted to get one of these kits to try and record wirelessly a choir and send the audio to a dslr filming the show, a doubt arising though: I saw in your video the recivers only record while direclty talking to them, what I need is for them to capture 2 or 3 members voice with each receiver. It would be awsome having the choir recorded each section: baritones, tenors, altos and sopranos, each in its own channel. Will the lavalier incluided mics help me pick up a wider instance without having to put the mic diectly at anyone individual? Also please correct me if im wrong but it seems to me that these don´t include on-board recording as with BoomX-D receiver kits?
@RayValencia2 жыл бұрын
Hi JL. These are all very good questions. The lav mic could work if it was centrally located between 2-3 people, although it would probably be better to use the on-board mic to get a wider pickup pattern than the lav mic. If you put a lav directly on someone, you will mostly only hear THAT person. The good thing is, you can also change the Gain for each individual mic so if you have one section quieter than the others, you can boost their Gain. There is no on-board recording with this kit (like the mics I used to make my last 4-5 videos, Comica BoomX-D2 Pro) I will make a review about this mic kit too to give you some options.

Can the headphone jack allow you to listen to all 4 channels at once or is it separate?
@RayValencia2 жыл бұрын
Yes, you get a mix of all the channels. I use the Sony FX3, which has some extra options where you can determine which mics you hear in each headphone. Channel 1+2 in left and 3+4 in right, or 1+3 in left and so on.

the problem will be solved with 4 channels, if this transmitters just can record backup inside transmitter like DJI mics)) it will be easy to get 4 channels with any camera, or even without receiver cos 5th audio channel could be on-camera boom mic)
