Tom Defalco is in my top 5 favorite Spider-Man writers. He knows how to balance serious matters with the weird goofy super-heroics and have it come out fun and gripping. He's just had the bad habit of being saddled with overbearing editors and this story shows how good he really is when he's allowed to do his own thing. I wish it happened more often when he wrote Spider-Man in the '90s.

I was Ethan and the Nutty Professor/Flubber debacle... but it was actual "The Absent-Minded Professor" who invents flubber from 1961 that was remade as Flubber, so it is two different "professor" movies. I hope that makes sense :)

Flubber and all the other “science movies” made by Disney in the 90s are in the same universe. In Epcot the Journey into imagination ride has all of the scientists and Easter eggs from movies like Flubber and Honey I shrunk the kids. Disney you know you like your remakes and your cinematic universes where’s the Flubber remake we’ve all been asking for.

Reasons I will always prefer this version over the original: 1: Original Norman stays dead! I still hate the fact that he returned in the main continuity! 2: Ben and baby May confirmed alive. 3: Harry being behind it all; one less character who's ridiculously good at surviving fatal injuries as Wolverine and Deadpool, plus him being Peter's best friend at one point raises the stakes. 4: I like the idea of Peter choosing to retire from being a super-hero for the sake of trying to better provide a living for his family and wanting to be a devoted father. (Although, I'd also enjoy a well-written series involving him balancing work, hero-ing, and being a family man)

I can help here on the point of relative nerditude. It's been repeatedly established that Kaine lacks the genius of his brothers being that he was an imperfect product, super-genius was one of the compromised traits. So while Ben would have no problem understanding cloning tech (and would later perfect the tech that Otto uses to create his own body, Kaine lacks that scientific ability.). Kaine is a dunce. Love the show!

A Back Issues to Grim Hunt would be cool, IMO it is one of the handful good stories to come out of the BND/Big Time era of Spider-Man. I don't know why people hated that one and the prelude that was Gauntlet (except Shed as that one was messed up). GH did suck in bringing Kraven back but other things surrounding the event were good.

It's not perfect, and still has a bunch of issues that come from the OG Clone Saga, but this and Ultimate are the best versions of the Clone Saga IMO.

Well there is a significant difference which is that the Snyder Cut with a 214 minute cut was finished shooting, but didn’t have post-production completed. This was created later as 6 issues and wasn’t just sitting on a shelf somewhere with unfinished artwork.

Okay so flubber is a remake of an old 1961 Disney film called ‘the absent minded professor’ which was adapted from a short story called “a situation of gravity”. It also had a sequel called ‘son of flubber’ which came out two years later. The nutty professor with jerry Lewis came out the same year as son of flubber and is, as far as I’m aware, entirely unrelated. The original flubber films are fun and zany imo but the sequel film in particular gets up to some weird stuff as the professor creates a weather gun tht he uses at one point to nearly drown his arch rival while he’s driving down the road. Idk they are definitely of their time but I think they’re worth checking out.
